The Carbo-Rod is an effect stick. You can get a brush type effect. You can get a sound that is between a brush and a drumstick. One may strike the Carbo-Rods on the rim wrapped portion to obtain yet another unique sound. If you strike the Carbo-Rods on the gap (“sweet-spot”) between the upper portion of the handle and the lower region of the rim wrapped gaffers tape, you can get a loud “pop” sound that is unique as well. The point is, depending on what Carbo-Rods you use and on what portion of the Carbo-Rods you strike the instrument with, and on how soft or loud you play, the Carbo-Rod is an effect stick that will produce a wide variety of sounds. >More

The Carbostick 5B Classic Tip Model drumstick is a classical Rock ‘N Roll drumstick. The Carbostick 5B CT is, by design, heavier on the front end and thus, possesses more rebound (and a little less control) compared to a 5A or 7A model drumstick. The diameter of the Carbostick 5B CT drumstick is 15.1mm and has a thicker girth than a 5A or 7A model drumstick. In addition to being thinner and shorter than the 5A and 5B Model drumsticks, the Carbostick 7A CT Model drumsticks exhibit very quick and minute rebounds along with a high degree of control in comparison to the 5A, 5B, or EC Model drumsticks.
