All of us have
favorite songs for which we do not know all the lyrics. Fortunately, in
the Internet age there are several good sites
that can give us the words
to our favorite songs, especially those from the 1930s to the
present.
• 1940s Page from Lyrics on Demand – great site for fans of 1940s song lyrics
• Alternative Lyrics – good, searchable source of song lyrics for fans of alternative music
• A–Z Lyrics Universe – good, alphabetically searchable listing of popular song lyrics
• Beatles Lyrics Archive – archived list of lyrics from the Beatles, one of the most important rock bands of all time
• Def Leppard Page
at Rockmagic.net – lyrics from the metal band Def Leppard

are featured on this page, but other artists have
featured lyrics as well
• Disco Lyrics – fansite for lyrics from the late 1970s and early 1980s that is a good source but with more pop-ups than are desirable
• Elvis Presley Lyrics – searchable resource of lyrics from the king himself
• Elyrics – provides over 200,000 lyrics from more than 15,000 featured artists and bands
• Chuck Berry – official homepage for Chuck Berry, known for playing Gibson guitars, and for being a father of rock and roll
• Cowboy Lyrics – an
excellent website for country music fans, including lyrics from Toby
Keith and others
(even a bunch of not-quite-country acts, like the
Eagles and more).
• Lyrics Bay – features an expanding lyrics archive of 750,000+ songs
• Lyrics Depot – great site for finding song lyrics and titles if you only know part of the lyrics in the song
• Lyrics You Love – searchable database of lyrics including a listing of current top 100 Billboard hits
• Lyrics Mode – site with lyrics from over 30,000 bands and artists that is also accessible from mobile devices
• Music Song Lyrics – features a large archive of lyrics but beware of pop-ups
• Oldie Lyrics – fans of music from the 1950s to the present will not be disappointed when they visit this site
• P Lyrics – one of the best lyrics sites for punk rock fans
• SongLyrics.com – good lyrics site that can be searched by genre, song title, or band
• Top 40 Lyrics – this is a good site for searching for song lyrics by decade and includes lyrics from songs recorded between 1930–1998
• Ultimate
80s Songs – lyrics for what one fan considers to be the best
songs of the 1980s,
not all will agree with his selection but a useful
resource nonetheless
