Now, for only a few more dollars than the original, popular WMS40 systems, AKG has introduced the WMS40 Diversity systems. These wireless packages offer the same heralded sound quality and high-quality microphones as the originals, but with an upgraded receiver and more reliability in environments hostile to RF transmission. Features on the new SR 40 Diversity receiver include an all-metal case, full metering including RF level, audio level, diversity, and mute LEDs, balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4 in. outputs for connection to any pro audio device, adjustable output level and automatic squelch for noise-free reception.
The SR 40 diversity is a stationary receiver for all WMS 40 and microtools Series transmitters. Operating in the 710 MHz to 865 MHz UHF range, the SR 40 diversity is perfectly suited for small stages, clubs, small touring systems, places of worship, hotels, gyms, etc. The plug & play concept and fixed preset frequencies let you set up and operate the system quickly and efficiently even if you are not a trained sound engineer.
Professional outputs include a balanced XLR and unbalanced TS ¼ in. jack for connecting to every kind of equipment. An output level control allows you to match the SR 40 diversity's output signal to the input stage of the subsequent device. The rugged half-rack case gives you the choice of using the receiver free-standing or mounting it in a 19 in. rack.
