The revolutionary GT5 is the ultimate floor-type guitar effects processor/preamp, employing 22-bit A/D conversion and 18-bit D/A conversion at a 44.1kHz sampling rate for the cleanest possible sound. The GT5's stunning preamp section sings with Composite Object Sound Modeling (COSM) - the same Roland technology found in the revolutionary VG8 V-Guitar System, GP100, and BOSS GX700. And all distortion and overdrive processing take place in the analog world - the way it should be.

All the Sounds You've Craved!
The 28 stunning onboard effects let you easily create sounds that would have taken racks full of gear just a few short years ago. Up to 15 effects can be used simultaneously. The onboard effects include: a perfect combination of Roland's COSM-based preamp/speaker simulator and Boss's analog distortion technology; a new Acoustic Guitar Simulator which turns your electric into a rich, full-bodied acoustic-electric; and amazing guitar synth effects based on Roland's harmonic restructure modeling (HRM) technology. In addition, a new "Drive Customize" function puts you in charge to customize your own preamp section and distortion/overdrive effects. Until now, only BOSS engineers have had this much control!

Easy to Use. (Really!)
Each effect has several preset parameter settings that we spent some long hours tweaking (so you won't have to). But if you prefer, simply design your own effects settings with unmatched flexibility. Ten parameters can be controlled individually using the GT5's control pedal and expression pedal (onboard/external), LFO, or even via MIDI controller. Each parameter is assigned by default to the most suitable controller (i.e. the wah effect's frequency value will instantly be assigned to the GT5 's expression pedal). The GT5 features a large LCD and rotary encoder for quick and easy editing. Could this miracle box get any easier? Of course. Just to make sure you didn't get caught in a learning curve, we laid out the GT5's panel with dedicated buttons for each effect, so all you need to do is stomp!
