The Cordoba Guilele CE is a small acoustic electric guitar with a ukulele sound, feel and size. It combines the utility and pliability of a nylon string guitar with the portability and convenience of a ukulele. The Cordoba Guilele is tuned up a fourth from the standard tuning of a guitar, but can also be tuned to the standard guitar tuning (EADGBE). Cordoba partnered with Italian string maker Aquila to develop specialized Guilele strings that are suitable for its 438mm (17.35") scale length. It is built with a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a rosewood fingerboard, and a natural satin finish. This guitar features a Cordoba 2-Band Piezo pickup system. Consider it a true travel guitar.
