Not only are these great for home studios, stage and studio musicians, and anyone else who needs isolated sound, these headphones are found on film and video location sound sets the world over.

They use specially designed earmuffs that passively attenuate surrounding sound by a comfortable average of 28 decibels throughout the sound spectrum.
