So, What About this Compressor
The central component of all our compression products is the photo optical cell. This basic difference between our compressors and others is the foundation of the "Joemeek sound." Inside this black box shown is the photocell arrangement that gives compression the nonlinear characteristics that are essential for achieving warm sound. Furthermore, our photocell sensors will allow the most sudden changes (transient) in volume to be uncompressed.
This means that you can wind in huge amounts of solid compression before any "dulling" effects normally associated with compression can be heard. Coupled with this is the photocells frequency dependent compressing capability. This has been harnessed to give you a warm, solid bottom end with a punchy middle and crystal highs! In short, the Joemeek compressor has harnessed all of the desirable properties of compression. No studio can afford to be without one!
