Lanikai makes use of this exquisite wood by handcrafting the CK series to exacting specifications. In its most traditional form the CK6EK is a 6-string ukulele that owes its existence to Portuguese immigrants bringing their craft of music instrument building to Hawaii in the 1870s. The CK6EK comes with classical style tuning machines geared 14/1 for those players that demand greater control over their tuning. This model comes with the standard tuning of GCEA with the C and A strings doubled like a 12 string guitar.
