The new Spalted Mango Series ukuleles illustrate Lanikai's spirit of experimentation by bringing exiting new developments to the ukulele world. The SMCEK ukulele offers exquisite beauty and a very distinct tone, thanks to the solid spalted mango construction. Spalted mango has a unique tonal characteristic that has the midrange of mahogany but the fullness of spruce.

The difficulties in crafting an instrument with spalted woods are greatly outweighed by the resulting tone and striking appearance. The flame mahogany neck adds to the stability and comfort of this exquisite instrument. Also included on this model is the Fishman Kula preamp that truly captures the unique tone of this instrument. Rounded off with the gold vintage style tuners, this ukulele is a classic in the making.
