Pearl's new BC-800W serves double duty as a traditional cymbal stand and a boom stand. With the boom arm/upper tube inserted in the lower tube assembly it acts as a cymbal stand. Extend the boom arm/upper tube clear of the lower swivel and it's a boom stand.
The BC-800W features a solid 12mm thick (almost 1/2 in.) boom arm/upper tube, together with Pearl's gear tilter and single wing-nut design they provide slip-proof, sturdy, quick, and easy one-step adjustment. Just place one hand on the solid boom arm assembly, while the other is free to grasp and loosen the wing nut, adjust to desired position, and tighten for complete ease of use. Also included is the PowerPro collar for secure height adjustment and double braced legs with soft rubber feet for added strength and stability.
