The TD-9 drum module is the anchor of Roland's mid-line V-Drums kits. With hundreds of new sounds, real audio songs and patterns onboard, plus new Scope and Quick Rec/Quick Play practice functions, full V-Hi-Hat (VH-11) compatibility, and three-way ride triggering available, the TD-9 raises the bar significantly in its price range.

We know what it's like, Monday night your jamming with your speed metal band, on Tuesday you're sitting in with your jazz combo and on Wednesday it's drum n' bass night at that club downtown...you want to be prepared for all of them. The TD9 is built to deliver top-quality options for each of these situations (and way more). With 50 fully editable drum kits, the TD9 is as flexible as your playing is.

Dual triggering and velocity sensitive pads mean you have complete control over the way your drums respond to your playing. If you need 'em to sound louder, play 'em harder. Simple, right? To make matters even better, the ride cymbal is equipped with 3-way triggering allowing it to respond differently when being struck at the bell, plate and edge. In other words, because there are 3 different sound capabilities built into the one pad, it actually plays like a real cymbal.

Need a double kick but don't have the gear? No problem. The TD-9 allows you to transform your hi hat pedal into a second kick pedal so you can master those blast beats in no time.

“Ok, So It Sounds Good, What Else Does It Do?”

The TD9 module does way more than just produce killer sounds. It's simple Quick Record mode allows you to instantly archive that killer fill you finally mastered (and want proof of) or the phat new groove you've been jamming on (and don't want to forget). Roland also included 50 songs (recorded with real instruments) to help you build your chops and get those creative juices flowing. Each tune has individually mutable parts, allowing you to remove the track's drummer to make room for your inspired beats.

MDS-9 Drum Rack

Every drummer's set up is different. Some like their cymbals on top of their snare drum...some want them 40 feet above it. Struggling with uncooperative stands and mounts can be frustrating and style-cramping. That's why the TD9SX ships with Roland's MDS-9 rack which offers a sturdy four-leg design with new, improved ball-joint snare and cymbal mounts, and a new hi-hat mount for fast, flexible component placement.
