Each board contains 2 fully independent stereo multi-effects processors with 34 effects algorithms and 210 Preset patches each.

Equipped with 2 VS8F-2 Effects Expansion Boards, the VS-1680 and 1880 let you automate up to 8 channels of mono or 4 channels of stereo, professional-quality effects. These effects can be used in any number of ways: add reverbs and delays to vocals or drums during mixdown; automate parameters like delay feedback during specific parts of a song; "print" with dynamics effects to free-up the effects processors for later; record guitar and bass "direct" using the dedicated 1/4 in. Guitar input and process the "straight" track through one of the stunning onboard guitar amp models, etc. All effects editing is done via intuitive knob-style on-screen icons, so adjusting parameters ranging from reverb decay to guitar amp gain is as simple as scrolling to and turning the appropriate "knob." And once a particular effects sound is achieved, store your modified effect setting into one of 200 for instant recall.

Best of all, with the VS8F-2s, all signal processing remains in the 24-bit digital domain, eliminating signal loss through patch cables and the hassle of external mixers and patch bays.

Up to 3 boards can be installed into the VM-7200/7100, yielding 8 stereo or 16 mono effects.

2 boards can be installed into the VS-1880 for a total of 4 stereo or 8 mono channels of automated effects processing.
