The UAD-1e Expert PAK combines potent DSP power and world class professional audio plug-ins for the ultimate sonic upgrade for your DAW. This sophisticated audio processor runs UA's suite of stellar plug-ins, offloading your computer's CPU for other native mix effects or virtual instruments. UAD-1e is compatible with the high-speed PCI Express (PCIe) bus used in the latest generation of Apple desktop Mac's & PC motherboards. UA's fast-growing plug-in library brings the most sonically revered studio processors from the past 50 years of audio to your computer, including vintage equalizers & compressors, superior precision mastering tools, lush reverbs, guitar FX, and officially licensed classic hardware emulations from Roland and Neve.

Need more raw DSP horsepower to run more UAD plugs in your mixes or simply want to run all your sessions at higher sample rates? The UAD-1 was designed as a multi-card system allowing up to 4 UAD cards to run on an OSX Mac/Win XP PC, PCI or PCI-X based computer. Your existing plug-in licenses can be used across cards after registering a new card to your my.uaudio.com account and downloading the new plug authorization file.

* Available PCI or PCI-X slot for each UAD-1 card
* Available PCI Express (PCIe) slot for each UAD-1e card
* 1024 x 768 or higher resolution monitor
* CD drive or internet connection for software installation
* An AGP or PCI Express graphics video adapter (PCI graphics is not supported)
* Internet connection required for registration and obtaining optional plugins
* Additional platform-specific requirements are listed below
Windows platform:
* Microsoft Windows XP (Home, Pro, or x64 Edition), Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, or Windows Vista
* VST compatible host application software, such as Steinberg Cubase or Nuendo
Mac OS X platform:
* Mac OS X version 10.4.0 or higher
