"Truly amazing controller!"

Feature:
It is not very often that I am compelled to write my thoughts about a piece of gear, but this is definitely the best controller I have ever owned. The pads feel great and are very expressive and the keys are stiff but solid. This is probably one of the best constructed keyboards I have and looks and feels like a professional piece of gear unlike the M-Audio gear. The note repeat and arpeggiator are an AKAI staple that really make this keyboard stand out!

Quality:
This is a solid controller! Built like a tank, but is heavier than most USB controllers. It's definitely worth the extra couple of pounds to carry on a gig.

Value:
I think this controller is priced right and is worth every penny.

Desirability:
The look and feel are amazing and make you want to play it.

Sound:
This doesn't make sound as it is a controller only.

Ease of Use:
It worked right out the the box with both Logic 8 and Live 7 with only minor tweaking to my presets. I literally plugged it in and started playing with my soft synths and samplers immediately with great control and ease.

Support:
Haven't had to deal with AKAI ever, so I have nothing to say.

Overall:
I am very happy I bought this and it has already changed my Live set-up by making my portable rig into a high powered and compact unit.
