"Not worth the money, locks up/freezes up every couple of minutes."
Sound:
The sound is okay. The volume on the module tends to get lower and then all of a sudden gets louder for no reason - sounds like a software defect to me.
Quality:
THe drum pads don't really have any rebound. If you want to practice your rolls, and actually get better, that's probably not going to happen on these pads.
Manufacturer Support:
I will say that they did replace my original module after I returned it to the place of purchase after 2 days because the module kept locking up on me while playing. I recieved a 2nd module about 2 1/2 weeks later and I began experiencing the same exact issue. I had to email Alesis myself and they did reply in a timely manner, however, I'm still stuck with this faulty defective drumkit and working on getting an upgrade or my money back. We shall see how that turns out.
Value:
THis product absolutely is not worth the price tag. It shouldn't lock up every 5 mins. The software is crap. Apparently this drumkit was made for the absolute beginner that doesn't know jack about drumming - which I am not. I bought this strictly for practice and thought that it would suffice, but I was completely mistaken. Now I'm out $400 because this drumkit isn't measuring up. It's counter productive AND frustrating when you are practicing to have to stop every couple of mins because the module freezes up!
Overall:
I've only owned this product 2months and I regret that I wasted $400 on this. This was made for the absolute beginner, no fills, no solos, just straight bass/snare/bass/snare beats..... Save your money and get a roland.
