Sound:
I play a washburn AB20 through this bad boy and with the on board EQ and pizzo pu along with the pre sets on the amp, the versitility is increadable. from full harmonic bass tones to bright crisp highs (pizzo tweets) and warm deep bottom, together there is no end to the quality of sound you can get. the key to controling the incredible high end is to have good tone or eq on the bass and set it accordingly. No one belives me when I tell them it's only 100 watts. Hell I hardly belive it my self.

"ba115 - KILLER starter ampeg for not much dough."
Feature:i like that it has the voicing selector switch, helps the critical midrange. very nice bottom end, but only some much high end/high mids you can coax out of a 15" speaker. the volume of this thing is beautiful. PLENTY loud. needs no boosts, really dont even need to mic in a club, other than for a little mid boost.
Quality:
the only problem i have is the hissy tweeter. a simple dedicated noise gate onboard would be wonderful. no need for adjustment, just to silence that hiss...
Value:
i got this badboy for $375, at alocal ampeg dealer. ive seen lists of nearly $500. great deal on a kiler starter.
Desirability:
if it only had some noise reduction, and a preamp in/poweramp out, i'd give it a ten. perhaps casters would be nice also, it a bit heavier than i like.
Sound:
perhaps a preamp out power amp in would be good. It has a little hiss in the tweeter, dialing a little top-end out works. The XLR line out is also a little noisy... other than that, this beast can take whatever i throw at it.
Support:
5 year warranty, transferrable, cant beat that. I purchased this amp, the first one i got had been dropped, but exchange was no problem at all... took it and left ten minutes later with another.
Overall:
If i take care of this amp, I cant see why i wouldnt be using it years later, even after I upgrade to a SVT head/cabinet. I eventually will upgrade to a svtII pro, hopefully with an ISO-vent cab, but this will still be my practice/rehearsal amp.
