"Surprised by its quality. Really adds nice warmth and fullness !"
Value:If you want to add warmth to your digital recordings it is very usefull. No hiss at all combined with my firewire 410 ! I have to admit i had my doubts about this product since it was so cheap and got lots of bad reviews. I think it's really worth it's price. Guess it's much better than some plugin's designed to add warmth. People who give it bad reviews must do something wrong or expect too much of it. With a decent soundcard and a decent mic it gives very good results. But you probably can't compare it with professional tube pre amps which cost at least 10 times as much.
Sound:
Sweetens up a lot ! Compared to the preamp's in my firewire 410 the Art tube mp studio v3 adds lots of warmth and fullness. No hiss or noise at all !

Really worth the price ! Adds warmth and fullness !

"Quiet for awhile."
Feature:Very versatile due to 16 voicings. I found the setting for electronic keybourd sounded much better for miking accoustic guitar than the accoustic guitar setting (too tinny).
Quality:
The XLR input has a pretty lose connection to the mic cable - any wiggling produces very loud pops. It suddenly started making a loud crackling noise after about 3 hours of use. This persisted after the mic was disconnected and so was unrelated to the loose input. Obviously a lemon - back to the store it goes!
Sound:
Dead quiet, no noise at all - at least for the first day.
Support:
Hopefully the replacement will be better.
Overall:
Great unit when functioning properly.

"Snap, hiss, crackle, POP!!"
Feature:The warm setting is great...but what good is it with all the Crackle, snap, hiss, pop. A noisey product.
Quality:
Cheap tube.
Value:
What value is it if you cant use it due to the noise?
Sound:
Crackle, snap, hiss, pop. A noisey product. If your a kid in a garage with a mic or guitar then for 120 its ok. But for a decent pro level amp. Forget it.
