"It's all I wished for."

Feature:
The 9V battery is easily replaceable and does not use those annoying press-fit connectors, so there are no wires to break. The units versatility would be greatly enhanced if it utilised phantom power.

Quality:
The unit is built solidly and would certainly withstand rough use with its thick powder painted metal case and recessed controls. The external power supply however, will have a far shorter life (as most small wall-warts do)due to the thin cable.

Value:
This product stands out in its intended purpose. I don't know of any competition that does what this box appears to excell at. The sales pitch on extra width printed circuit tracks is misleading to some extent as the PCB itself is only a single sided board (1 copper layer). However, that aside, it is well designed.

Desirability:
Well, with it's bright red color, you won't lose it easily. It will not break if you stamp on it and once you use it, you'll love it.

Sound:
For the discerning guitarist this unit is a must. Not only does it enhance the clarity of your sound, it adds that extra body and depth that I could only otherwise achieve using multiple amplifiers and extra speaker cabs. For the accoustic guitar it works like magic.

Support:
I cannot foresee the need to contact BBE due to reliabilty issues. Maybe, that is why they offer a 5 year limited warranty on this product.

Overall:
BBE needs to add phantom power useage to the module for me to give it a 10. Besides that, I would have to buy another if I lost my DI-100X today because nothing else can fill that space.. not yet anyway!
