"NEVER NEED ANOTHER AMP, JUST BUY IT!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
this beast provides infinite tone choices with the equalizer and 5 voice settings....at 50 pounds it should withstand the almost nuclear blast of volume it produces as long as you match it with a cabinet that is also 4 ohms...just go with the behringer 1200 watt cab with bugera speakers....also like the heavy duty covering that is like thick plastic or vinyl as it is water resistant (wish the speaker cabs were too).

    Quality:
This amp is very, very well made as it weighs in just over 50 lbs. It has the heavy duty chrome metal corner covers and it is not just covered with carpet material, it has that heavy duty vinyl stuff that should help avoid any water damage from spills or rain...knobs are all firmly in place and respond nicely to very slight adjustments...oh, and it looks and sounds like an amp that stands up well over time...

    Value:
No other company comes close to providing the low cost and high quality with lots of features also included, just buy one before they figure out that this thing should be selling for twice as much...if you are thinking about buying the cheaper 450 watt behringer...don't. Read the specs, this beast is the real deal...you will never have to upgrade and if you don't stay with it, it will have real resale value as it is not an entry level amp....great tone and tons of volume!

    Desirability:
This amp has a definite old school appearance as it looks like a classic ampeg amp...everyone who has seen it says it looks impressive too.

    Sound:
smooth tone of infinite variety...and tons of volume at 550 watts for this price, it's a steal...pay the extra few bucks and upgrade from the entry level behringer amps as the sound and construction quality are so much better with this amp...

    Ease of Use:
has a separate input jack for both active and passive bass guitars, nice. has a dedicated equalizer for those of us who are really picky about our tone and the standard gain, bass, mid, treble adjustments too, all good right? Add the 5 voice channels for quick choice variety of different sounds and you will have fun just exploring the sounds...oh, and if you wanna add a multieffects pedal, it has separate dedicated slots for those too.

    Support:
haven't had to call the company but I did go to their website and it is full of information about their products and detailed specs and pix to help you know more about what you are buying...manuals there too...read them or you could blow your amp in ignorance...the manuals teach you what not to do by accident....

    Overall:
If you are shopping for an amp...go to the websites of the manufacturers and you will learn about differences that will help you make your decision. For me, the quality, weight, covering, extra tone controls all mixed in with the lowest comparative price in the industry made this an easy decision....then, confirm it by trying out a number of different amps...the behringer bvt 5500 will never be outgrown...get one!

"Best $300 amp you can get!"

    Feature:
The voiceing options could be better once again. the graphic e.q. is kind of a pain. but once again works well enough for what i paid.

    Quality:
This thing is really heavy wich i don't mind, but the hardware on it is pretty low standard. i had knobs falling off after the first gig. still works well though.

    Value:
best amp you can get for 300 bucks!

    Desirability:
people tell me it looks like an ampeg.

    Sound:
The amp sounds good, but the voiceing options could be better. i'm using a marshall 410 cab trough this and it doesn't seem to power it sufficently. but it does work pretty well, despite the power problem.

    Ease of Use:
Simple plug in and play amp

    Support:

    Overall:
this will probably be my backup for my summer tour i expect it to be a work horse for a while. good buy for the money.
