"Versatile and affordable classic, baby!!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

Feature:
The package includes everything you need to get started, except for a tuner (which I'd rather buy separately anyhow!). The guitar looks and feels pretty solid for the price-- it's very comfortable playing it standing or seated. The set doesn't obviously have more expensive features in it (such as a more quality whammy bar or an adjustable height bridge, for example), so don't expect too much.

Quality:
Everything is assembled well. I'm taking a couple of points off on the guitar because it's not quite up to par cosmetically: the varnish / lacquer on the top of fretboard looks really sloppy (but probably isn't noticeable except to the player). More importantly, however, the guitar is mechanically well-built, including the chrome tuning pegs. Obviously the guitar doesn't have all of the features or more expensive parts, and I don't need these yet anyhow. Finish = 7, Fit = 9, so I'll give quality an 8 overall. Maybe more like 8.5 because the amp has a great fit and finish.

Value:
Value is the key to this package!! You want a cheap guitar? Buy this one! The amp is a keeper if you ever want to upgrade your guitar someday, but I'm more than happy with the guitar too and I'll keep it for many years I think! Even if I do get better and more serious, I'd keep the guitar as a backup. Or if I do ever get as good as Hendrix, I'd buy this set just to smash it up on stage, hell yeah!!!

Desirability:
Hey, Strats (and copies of Strats) are sexy classics, what can I say?? Solid German design! I wanted it, I got it, I love it!

Sound:
The amp and guitar sound pretty good for rock & metal. I'm sure if you wanted to play jazz, you might be a little more disappointed (or maybe I haven't played around with the amp tone settings enough to get a jazz sound with it). The strings on the guitar buzz sometimes (but these strings would need to be replaced right away if you're doing more than just practicing and messing around with it at home-- but you're gonna buy or have more strings around already, right?). You're not getting a Strat sound or quality with this set, but it's definitely better than all of the other entry-level guitars that I've played or owned.

Support:
I haven't dealt with support. Their web site www.behringer.com is actually worth visiting. They have an online guitar tuner, if you'd rather not use relative tuning (which I admit, relative tuning is only useful once you get the guitar perfectly in tune to start out with, if that makes any sense)!

Overall:
I can't complain for the price that I paid for this. You'll probably want to replace the thin cord, buy new picks, and get more strings for the guitar (which you'd probably do with any package anyhow). After buying it, however, I almost wish I would've bought the Behringer "Vintager" guitar package, because it has a tube amp instead with all of the other things being the same. Of course, I could always get that later on and have both, heh heh!

"The guitar or the amp are worth the $$$ alone, but both together on the same plate with all the trimmings? Happy Thanksgiving!"

Feature:
You simply can't ask for more. I need a small practice amp for my bass. The amp alone is worth the money. Well featured, versitile and portable. If you want more features for the money, you're just plain greedy.

Quality:
This package is made far better than I expected. Cheap guitar strap and crappy strings, but these can easily be changed with all the money you saved.

Value:
Can't be beat. Other starter packages just can't touch this deal at much greater prices.

Desirability:
Okay, I already got it... I mostly play bass, but now I play guitar alot more. Great job, Behringer.

Sound:
Sure, it's not a real Strat, but what do you expect. If you are just beginning, your not likely going to sound great anyway. This is a perfect starter package for a beginner, I'd recomend it at double the price.

Support:
I haven't had to deal with Behringer. I also have a BX1200 bass amp which has been working beyond perfect. It's my hope that the quality of their products keeps up and I don't need to phone for help. No complaints. I feel if they put the same quality in their service/support as they do with what they make, I honestly don't vision a problem.

Overall:
Why would I be searching for another guitar get-up? Unless I start becoming famous or something, this little sucker rocks. It's cheap enough that I likely wouldn't even be angry if one of my clumbsy guitar buddies broke it. Great deal!

"My first electic guitar & amp, and I love it!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

Feature:
Comes with everything you need except a tuner, which you will need because the guitar comes easily out of tune.

Quality:
The guitar & amp are very good quality(I rate it a 9). But the strings are crap(I rate them a 5). You have to tune it every time you use it. It might be because the strings are the worst. The light E broke while I was tuning it. I have replaced all stings with D'Addario EXL110 & it sounds better & doesn't need to be tuned as much. The strape, the bag, wire, & picks are cheap(I rate them a 7). But its good enough to get started on.

Value:
A great value for the price. Lets face it how many of us are going to play for years to come & play in a rock & roll band? Not many. So this is a great way to try to play the guitar & not fell bad if we don't play very well, hate it, or stop playing after 6 months because we only spend $100. Now, if you do love then this is a great guitar & amp to learn to play on & the next guitar & amp can cost you $600-$1000 on a good set up & you will be happy.

Desirability:
The guitar looks like a fender strat or any other guitar out there. There is nothing special about it but it looks good. It looks like a standard guitar, a copy, but what do you want for $100. It reallt doesn't matter what it looks like, this set up gives you a chance to learn to play the guitar, that sounds good, for a great price.

Sound:
The sound is very good for a first electric guitar. I have a acusotic guitar & I make alot of mistakes on it. With this guitar & amp we can play around with the amp settings & guitar a sound great. I really like the way it sounds when I play the heavy riffs. It also sounds goods with the light chords. It so easy, when every one tries to please me.

Overall:
I thinks its the best package out there. I still would not have gotten any other one. Its sounds goods, looks good, works good, plays good, & is inexpensive. What more do you want?

"One heck of a guitar for a great price"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

Feature:
This guitar comes with all you need to play right on the spot. The only things I have yet to use in the set are the strap that came with it (As I'm using a custom one) and the picks (I'm using Dunlops instead of the Behringer).

Quality:
The Guitar is well built, and so is the Amplifier. The gig bag is quality enough to get the job done. It seems it will hold up. THe knobs are attached well.

Desirability:
It looks like a Fender in appearance. Even though I dont use guitar in my band during shows, I do write songs with it.

Sound:
Overall it sounds great. There are a few issues with the sound squealing at times if i'm extremely close to the amp or if the instrument cable comes close to any metal. Otherwise the Guitar plays beautifully. All this really needs is a Distortion or Effects pedal.

Overall:
I'm pretty satisified and should be satisified until this thing finally gets destroyed by me inadvertanly (Which I hope is not for a long, long time.) I mainly choose this due to the Price:Feature ratios. The only thing I would suggest is to get an Effects pedal, and a stand for the guitar.
