"Behringer Patchbay - 10++!"
Feature:This one goes to 11! Because it is configurable by channel, you will never outgrow this patchbay.
Quality:
Like a TANK. The Behringer is orders of magnitude tougher-built than a Tascam PB32 (whose plastic jacks always seem to crack) or even a Furman - which is high praise indeed.
Value:
I bought one, evaluated it, and then went and bought two more. When I bought mine, they were $29.95 each - and I was stunned at the value for the money. Even at $50, they're a good deal.
Desirability:
Don't ever believe a patchbay can be sexy... 'cause it can't. Still, the design is pure genius, the quality is superb, the adaptability is stellar, and it makes routing signals in a complex studio so much easier, I wouldn't want to work without mine.
Sound:
Like a patchbay should be, this bay is very quiet. I've had 2 of them in daily use for 2+ years, and never a whisper of noise.
Support:
The best customer support you ever get is when you never need customer support.
Overall:
I fully expect this gear to outlive me.
