"Try to find a better and easier Patchbay to use for the money and at any price, I dare ya'!!!"
Well if have connected all the patch cords correctly and used good quality cable and jack connectors and then a form of connector oil on the jack contacts so that they do not oxidize, hence that is what causes the sound degradation, not the cables or the patchbay, but rather the connector degrading sound quality when oxidized!!!
SO this patchbay sounds excellent as long as you follow the rules above.
How can it get better than this and how does it get any easier???
The other brands may have a front panel that comes off and you can change the way it is wired/normalled/half normalled etc. while in the rack is real handy but after all you still have to unplug the back 1/4" connectors anyway so like this patchbay you just flip a switch on top of unit and your in business again so pretty much the same time to change the way it is connected, pretty much the same time but less hassle than taking off the fron panel or taking the unit apart like other brands which is a hassle. Koodos to Behringer for the flip a switch mentality, much faster and less hassles and much easier.
Ease of Use:
Like I said can it get any easier than this except maybe not having to figure out your studio wiring in the first place and you could just lay there in your swimming pool drinking Mai Tai's!!!
Well I guess the other brands that cost more may last a few 100 or more plug ins or so more than the Behringer but who in the world unplugs and plugs in their patchbays one million times???
The behringer will outlast many of your lifetimes and your children so who cares, enjoy making music and having clean uncolored sound from this patchbay if you do the cables and connections right and put the connector oil on them, because other brands will not sound any different from this brand unless of course you are a robot plugging in a million and one times and are able to break this thing?!!
Have not used them so far so far so good???
Lets see the price, the quality, and what do you get for all of this, yes a Behringer that does the job, and does it well, for all that its worth!!! Are there any other patchbays out there that do what this does this easily???
The Wow Factor:
Well I need it, so I got it, and yea' that is real sexy???
I don't know if I will replace it, maybe if it breaks down plugging it in a million times but we will see how long it last and maybe even then I can fix it with a blast of contact cleaner spray and a sodering iron?!!
If it was stolen I would be really really pissed off at the guy or girl that stole this patchbay, because I am hand cuffed to this patchbay right now and it would ruin my entire week not to mention my arm!!!
I would beat the thief senseless with this patchbay and then buy me a new one because it would be all scratched, bent and not shinny new anymore.........Not
