    "Small, cheap, but perfectly formed."

    Feature:
I use this mixer to combine the output from microphone, CD and laptop during Powerpoint presentations, and the like. Having the ability to adjust the EQ and relative volumes of the inputs is useful, especially where the sources are often less than ideal. The single FX send/return can be useful. The power supply is solid with robust cables.

    Quality:
As with most Behringer stuff, it's well screwed together and puts up with day to day abuse without complaint. The pots have plastic spindles, but then, so do all the others at this price. The power supply is solid with robust cables.

    Value:
The cost - features ratio, and build quality make this a very good buy.

    Desirability:
This feels like a proper piece of kit, and not a toy. Oh, and I love blue 'power' LEDs.

    Sound:
    For about

"Mixing magic for a low price..."

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
Other than panning and volume adjustment it really doesn't have many features. It does havee inputs for FX and stuff. You'll need to buy some cords to plug this baby into your recording source. The only thing it comes with is a plug in adapter. But the features it does have work great

    Quality:
Its seems very sturdy. There are no loose parts. I am not worried about it breaking at all.

    Value:
$50 dollars for a nice mixer?? Yeah great value

    Desirability:
I bought it, Mostly becasue it looks nice and I wanted to show it off in my studio in my basement. It is very nice looking.

    Sound:
The sound is excellent. I use a horrible twenty dollar mic acnd the IMP makes it sound like I spent 100 dollars on it. It was mostly what I expected. It sounds real nice going into computers and Multi track recorders. You will get good sound from this however you use it.

    Support:
No experiance yet. But I am sure that I would get good support

    Overall:
This is a very good product for people who are just getting into recording. I have been recordi ng over three years and this is still my primary mixer. If it broke which I dont expect it to I would definitly go buy another one.

    "German"

    Feature:
Most usefull for me is the tape in/tape out. I'd like to see an on/off swith tough..

    Value:
Perfect price, in fact it's really cheap compared to the mic pre-amp i bought..

    Sound:
Very good sound. I used a mic pre-amp for "homerecording" using my computer/laptop with Logic Studio but it didn't pickup the microphones good enough. I wasn't satisfied with the preamp sound quality and because i could mix the guitar and multiple vocals (singers) well. This little mixer is perfect for me. I can mix guitars/vocals perfect. It picks up the (cheap!) microphones perfectly.

    Overall:
I expect to be using it for many years for various purposes. Recording music and live-performances perhaps.

    "Fun with mics, guitars, whatever"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
The multitude of input/output options gives me enormous flexibility, whether I'm "working", practicing, or recording live tracks.

    Quality:
I can't imagine anything ever going wrong with unit...feels solid. And doesn't wobble (at least mine doesn't.)

    Value:
Good value! My capabilities have been vastly expanded with a very meager outlay of cash. Rock on!

    Desirability:
Whatever...nerds might think it makes them cool, but what matters is how you use it, baby!

    Sound:
Nice sound, even with gain cranked up on the mic ins. I have no amp for my guitar and so this mixer serves the purpose of mixing mic with guitar input or 2 guitars together. My Lo-Z(xlr) to Hi-Z(1/4) converters integrate perfectly and pick up good, rich sound from guitars.

    Support:
    no experience

    Overall:
I can't imagine replacing this unit any time soon for any reason.

    "Works for me!"

    Feature:
I like the EQ for each channel. Wish it had inserts as well as FX sends. The next model up has a low-pass filter, but I don't know if I'd use that so much.

    Quality:
I hear all kinds of horror stories about Behringer gear on the road, but this mixer will never see any of that. It sits on the desk and is pretty unobtusive. As mentioned in the manual, it gets slightly warm on the bottom right corner, but well within safe limits (I can hold it in my hand after several hours of use).

    Value:
I see the price has dropped slightly since I purchased it, but I don't feel I made a mistake. I expect to be using this mixer for years and years to come. It's been a big help, having preamps and EQ in one unit, even for what I paid.

    Desirability:
Practical yes, smaller than I thought, but good clean lines, well-laid out. I like it!

    Sound:
Use it in a home studio with a TASCAM Pocketstudio 5 and a Portastudio 788. Plenty of volume with the preamps, good control with the EQ. No problems after several months, it does the job and tends to be 'invisible' while I'm working. Hard to say more than that.

    Support:
    No experience in this area.

    Overall:
My only dissapointment was with the lack of channel inserts. Otherwise, I expect to be using this mixer for a loong time. Even if I were to get another mixer (doubtful), I'm sure I could still find a use for this one. I like having enough inserts for each of my main instruments so that I can dedicate a channel for each (with EQ I can set and forget). I don't regret purchasing it at all.

    "Good Value"

    Feature:
The phantom power is the reason I got it, but having the RCAs and 1/4 inches out helps a lot too...

    Quality:
I would never take this on the road, it is just too small and seems like it would not do much more then get broken, but for the stationary home studio it works wonderfully...

    Value:
Wonderful value, I had to decided between either a preamp for my mic or this mixer, I am glad I went with the mixer. It was only $10 more.

    Sound:
I have had no problems with it, very quiet, very nice boost on instruments. Its not perfect but for the home recording studio it a perfect fit.

    Support:
Haven't really dealt with them, which is a wonderful thing...

    Overall:
It is a good product for good money, don't think it will poop out soon but you never know.

"Good for live, Bad for recording"

    Feature:
The behringer 802 has FX send and returns, which are very useful, and it also has a phantom power unit that causes alot of distortion on my condenser mics.

    Quality:
the quality was fairly good, though it wouldn't hurt to put a power switch on it.

    Value:
for a $45 mixer, it's very good value

    Desirability:
this is a good backup or side mixer for recording but it's best for live performances.

    Sound:
don't use this mixer for mics, because the "invisible" preamp can generate a hissing sound. Other than that, it's sound quality is fairly good.

    Ease of Use:
this mixer is so easy to use that my 8 year old brother who doesn't have a clue about sound recording can figure it out.

    Support:
i didn't really need any support so i'll just give it a 8

    Overall:
this is a good overall mixer for the price but if you want to do recording, then look else where.

"who makes this garbage! they must think musicians are clueless!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Sound:
ok.. glad I read the reviews before I returned my 400$ condenser mic I just purchased. Using the phantom power is usless. I get crackling and disortion and it is completly unusable. Behringer should be put down like an old dog. Do NOT buy this garbage if you plan to use it for recording... please don't give this company your cash.
