"Behringer V-Amp - Forest Gump of Guitar Products because "you never know what you're gonna get!""
Feature:
Simple and above average feature set. 1/4" and XLR I/O, bypass, effect sends, etc.
Quality:
Looks handsome. Mine stopped working in a little over a year with light use in my smoke free home studio. Needless to say I am disappointed. I think stuff like this should be built to last better than this!
Value:
Well, if it worked I would give it a 10 because it is a great unit for the money. But if I have to pay to replace it, the cost of ownership is too high. It's not worth double of what I paid for it. If the product isn't dependable what have you got really? My other guitar gear has never failed. That's why I am kind of surprized.
Sound:
This is a great bang for the buck preamp. I use it straight into my monitor set up in my home studio. The effects are so-so, but then that doesn't matter. I have nice effects units that I can use if need be. I usually mic my tube amp when I record anyways...
Ease of Use:
Very easy to find something close to what you want and tweak it. Then you save it. Easy as pie.
Support:
Behringer will point you to a local repair shop. It will probably cost me what I paid for it to repair it....or near to it. They haven't returned phone calls and emails so that we can attempt a solution.
Overall:
stay away....not dependable.
