Sound:
YES!!! swap the stock tube with a 12AY7!!! Smooth all the way from 1 on up(gain control )!
no crackling /spotty distortion. just awesome range goes from "tube screamer" to perfect overdrive and sustain...DO IT!!!... PS*** stretch those retainer springs abit!! 1/8-3/16ths
the tube is not going to fly anywhere ..you get the point
Feature:
all good! noise gate is a great addition!......listen ...could use 2 additional in/out buttons with trim pots off the mstr vol and gain control for adjustable boost of each parameter.
TOO easy ...plenty-o-room makes it a 4 ch unit for $10 bucks in parts

EASY! just get used to it with each of your amps
Quality:
love it!...the "flip/flop" type switch is ok... i would use a good mechanical carling type....just for the feedback/feel when stepping in and out... you can see the LEDs ...like the click ,click i guess?

nice people at Behringer ...ALL electronics in the music feild should come with SCEMATICS!!!!....did not come with one... never met a player that did not need simple service on their stuff ...my Checkmate Amp had one glued inside!

layout: as stated above...3 buttons across bottom, LEDs above the additional Boost buttons w/ their controls above them;Main in/out LED w/mstr/gain/tone stack above the rest. piece o cake . BEHRINGER please listen? its the best i have heard

Sound:
This is one of the best sounding, warm, wide-ranging O.D. pedal i have ever owned, and i've owned and used most of the popular ones--tube, analog, modeling, etc. I think the pedal will work for any style -you can dial in everything from a nice tube boost to near metal tones. I haven't yet tried it straight into a mixer or mic input but i'm guessing it would sound good. It made a very weak amp sound great, and improves the tone of marginal pickups.
Feature:
functional simplicity - laid out like a good tube amp's vol/master/tone controls. The added noise gate is a great feature that i like alot and works great. The LED's are nice and bright. The one and only neg about the pedal is the footswitch doesn't have the comforting "click" that one may be used to. It is solidly built with a folded sheet metal casing.
Ease of Use:
Like i said, laid out like a good tube amp - pretty self explanatory. Huge range of drive and tones.
Quality:
The packing done by the shipper was marginal, so the Behringer box was really bounced around. Fortunately the Behringer packing was good and the unit functioned perfectly. I would like to purchase another one and try the Bitmo mod - a 3-way switch that is said to really make the pedal even better. This pedal appears to have as good of a quality as anything else available.
Manufacturer Support:
Haven't needed anything. The mfr plant is in China. Alot of stuff made in China is actually pretty darn good. Of course some is crap too. You have to be selective. Some of the low-end plastic Berhinger pedals are of the latter category. This Vintage Tube Monster pedal is great.
Value:
Fabulous bang for buck. I own an Electro Harmonix English Muffin at twice the cost and doesn't have the range and touch sensitivity that this pedal has.
The Wow Factor:
The giant black "V" on the tan case - well, i dunno...& i don't care - the thing sounds great.
Overall:
This is a keeper. I want another one as a backup. I will sell/trade some other pedals to accomplish this.
