"It's just that GREAT! Get you one of these .. If someone said this thing only produces static, then they don't know what in the"
Feature:Like I stated previously it has a noise gate that can be used to filter the snare and drums out while it projects the vocals. There is also a tube emulation that works great when it's turned to full(think Foghat's distorted vocals). It has plenty of features and I can't suggest anything else to include in it's features. Everything works as it was intended, no complaints here.
Quality:
For the money, it seems great. I got mine new in the box. All the knobs and buttons work great and twist smoothly. I really baby my stuff because I really couldn't replacce it very easily. I took a lot of time and research before I made my purchase. The 'ears'are removable, if you aren't using it in a rack set-up.
Value:
I would buy another one if this one were to die a firey death.
Desirability:
It has really cool lite-up buttons and I wanted to get it hooked up and push buttons to find my sound.. I was plesently disappointed when within about 5min I was done..I had my sound... Just stay away from the phantom power, unmless you are using a mic with a battery, otherwise you will get static...
Sound:
I added this to my vocal set-up and was amazed! With a little tweaking I had the very best vocal sound I've ever gotten. Worls great for all styles because it boosts the vocals and in a live setting it has a filter that edits out the drummer ie, snare and bass drums. This is the first vocal processor I've ever used. I saw it and thought it would be a great addition for the overall sound. My instincts paid off, BIG TIME! BTW it is also supposed to work with other instruments. i suppose one could run a guitar or keyboard thru it and that could compliment the initial signal/sound.
Support:
Behringer has great customer support. It may take up to a week, but they reply with the correct info.
Overall:
I'm done. I won't EVEN consider another brand or model. I love this VX2000, with a passion...There may be another with a few more 'bells and whistles' but I'll leave that for someone else.. I may try to get another as a back up or to run additoinal vocals thru.
