"Class, boutique-style amp with volume, tones & quality to spare~~"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Sound:
Have been playing 40+ years in every kind of band imaginable, Rock , Reggae, Fusion, Country and have owned countless amps, Fender, Boogie, Marshall... After doing a fair amount of research I bought this HT 60 Soloist sight unseen based on recommendations of ofter reviewers. Boy, was this a good call! Crazy good amp with the flexibility to do it all, Fender, Vox, Marshall, etc. HAve only played a handful of shows with this since I purchased it last month, but I now know this will be the last amp I'll ever need!!
Feature:
Well thought out with a plethora of options without mind-boggling complexity. Simple is best especially when this thing sounds the way it does and can get damn loud if needed! At the show I played last weekend I fired her into my 2x12 Mesa cab and was in sonic nirvana.
Ease of Use:
As stated above bonehead simple and easy to tweak on the fly.
Quality:
Build quality is an 11. This sucker feels like it will go the distance. Rugged, solid and attention to detail put this in the boutique class of amps. I did buy a cover for it though.
Manufacturer Support:
A quick email to the Blackstar team in the UK with a question about how to obtain casters for the built-in inserts brought a prompt and friendly response within 24 hours. Cherrio!
Value:
Not cheap but not expensive. Huge amount of bang for the buck for what you are getting. Did I sat this thing "rocks" yet?
The Wow Factor:
In the short time owned I have had numerous comments about it when playing out. All very positive!
Overall:
As mentioned above, I'm done. If this one eventually should die (I doubt it) I would walk the sands of the Sahara to find another.
