    "BOSS VHS tape vs the book- The Winner Is!"

    Value:
    Do yourself a favor and buy the Boss VHS tape. Until somebody writes a manual worth reading the tape puts the book to shame.

    Overall:
    I am very dissatisfied with the book. Nothing about burning CDs, saving songs to disc, how to save songs to disc to send to another person with a workstation so they could add tracks. Left me hanging big time. The VHS tape is the only way to go at this time.

    "Reread your owner's manual and buy the video"

    Value:
    No, I felt the owners manuel was almost just as good and there is a video out that is even better

    Desirability:
    It was a comfortable size text, but upon opening it there was the impression of major "rip-off" . Lots of wasted page space with - lots of filler! Much of the book was not specific information about the BR-1180 but about recording in general.

    Overall:
    The book was not specific enough or indepth enough in its explanation of the BR-1180's functions. Not much better than the owners' manual.
