Feature:
would be better if ac adapter was included.

Quality:
looks well built. nice feel to the sliders ect.

Value:
a friend nas the fostex and the amp sounds are better in the boss...his is a little more strait forward with functions more reminiscent of a tape 4 track...the drum machine(boss unit only) influenced my decision.

Desirability:
good move for song writing sketch-pad...I am much sexier now..oh you ment the boss 8 track;not sexy at all.

Sound:
the sounds are very good and most are usable.the effects are also very good,and can be dialed-in.

Support:
roland US called because i did not give the serial number to recieve the free bag...then said it was on the way.

Overall:
it does what i expected it to do and sounds good.

Feature:
Would be nice if the unit came with the power supply. Other than that, this thing is packed with features. The included 128MB CompactFlash card is more than adequate, because you can easily copy songs in progress to your computer. Working on 1 song at a time gives you over 8 minutes of track time per all 8 tracks. The programmable rhythm track is Awesome!! No longer are you locked in to preset generic sounding drum patterns.

Quality:
The product seems to be made well. I don't plan on dragging a $500 recorder behind a truck or using it for a boat anchor. Should hold up fine with normal usage.

Value:
I think that for the money this recorder is hard to beat. When you look at most of the horrible recorders from the $200 - $400 range The features and the quality far surpass anything within it's price range. I have read that the BR-864 has most of the features of the BR-1180

Desirability:
It is a nice sized little unit packed with great features.

Sound:
Get A good Quality Microphone

Support:
Haven't had to get support, but they do provide a number..........

Overall:
I think this studio will last me a long time. It is very good for a small home studio.
