Could be a litte more cheaper but it's worth the moeny.

This is a great pedal for the money you can tweak the EQ and your amp and come up with some really great tones.

Haven't delat with Boss I have a DS-1 and haven't had any problems in four years so I think this one will last.

yup, this thing is truly stuffed with knobs, and that lets you get so much out of it... I positively LOVE the mid freq knob, with a single twist I can generate a whole new tone - something impossible to do on other pedals...

Quality:
silly question... this is a boss - the true tanks when it comes to pedals. think it would survive a flight down the empire state building... but do not demand a replacement if I'm proved wrong ;]

Value:
a sick pedal, the most versalite thing I've ever played on, and I'm pretty sure that when you master the knobs, you're gonna get some really grand distortion out of this stompbox

Desirability:
a nice combination of black and orange... but, like with people, never go for looks alone. and this pedal does have good stuff inside :]

Sound:
i daresay, this is boss's most versalite compact pedal... even though it is called the metal zone, this stompbox can be used for almost everything - from funny sounding (this isn't an overdrive pedal after all), 'snarling' overdrive through nice fuzz and rock sounds up to sick roaring distortion plus just about anythign in between. even though you can generate sick quantities of distortion, you won't lose your playing dynamics, and it's easy to play tearjerking solos as well as shredfests on this as well. the only problem is that it hisses a bit, but hey - what are noise gates for? ^^ still gets a perfect 10, because it outstrips every other pedal I know by far

Ease of Use:
it's tough to get started here, since you have so many knobs... yup, praising the knobs, and now telling the knobs off, but it is a difficulty that one overcomes rather easily. once you know what some knob combinations do to your tone, you take off...

Overall:
ahh, this is one grand pedal, and I guess I'll be with it for a long time... and if, by some miracle, I manage to wear this out, I'm getting a new one ^^

Try using a ds-1 and a metal zone at the same time. Or just any oder distortion pedal + metal zone.

It' a litle bit hard to work with the tone. expecialy if you want something for punk

I like the look of this pedal, it has the "dark energy" feel.

I don't know. THis is the very first pedal i have used so far.

Desirability:
It looks good any way.

Sound:
It actually took me quit a while to get use to it. I use it with my Jackson KVX10 and my Fender Princeton 65 DSP. it sounded all right, but there is still something missing in the sound. There should be more tone, not just distortion.

Support:
It has 5 years of waranty.

Overall:
Not bad over all, but it can be a lot better.
