"Best Value in Combos!!! Great Tone!!!"
Sound:
This amp is all tone. Great sound and smooth breakup. Not many knobs but the CUT knob offers some versatility in equalization. You can get different sounds out of each channel and patch the two channels together. Great sound and loud!!!!
Feature:
No foot pedal but the ability to have separate effects loop for each channel is awesome. You can even patch the two channels together. I give it a 9 instead of 10 due to lack of reverb although reverb is not always necessary and can be attained in a pedal. Two 12 inch speakers that offer two different sounds - pretty cool. Well constructed with heavy hard wood and a leather-like covering. Well built with boutique style wiring and very heavy (almost 75 lbs.).
Ease of Use:
I give it a 9 instead of 10 due to no foot pedal. Other than that, easy to get an array of sounds from the two channels.
Quality:
Well constructed boutique style amp with fantastic wiring and components. So far, it has been very dependable after a couple of months. I use it 3-4 times a week.
Value:
For $650, you get an amp worth 2-3 times that. Modelled after a 2x12 amp that costs over $2,800, this sounds like an expensive boutique amp. You will not be disappointed. Tones range from clean to blues to classic rock and toneful fusion. Not much of a metal sound can be attained but that is what pedals are for. Still the best value out there in combos versus any other line of amps.
The Wow Factor:
Has a great look and the lights make it look great in a club environment. The way this is made is again an extremely quality made product. I may be getting another.
Overall:
This is a lifetime amp that will be kept forever. That is why I will probably get another, especially at such a great price point - $650. At some point, I will have to replace the tubes or even the tube rectifier but the heavy duty transformer should last a long time. Great value for any level of experience.
