"great begginer kit from CB drums."

    Feature:
great kit. only thing not included are sticks (depending where you buy, but most places will throw in a pair)and a ride cymbal. VERY EASY KIT TO ADD ONTO!!

    Quality:
beginer kit. Does the job. easly added onto. great value. I've played great shows with this kit, this is the kit for me.

    Value:
GREAT VALUE FOR A BEGGINER KIT!!

    Desirability:
comes in a variety of colours. easly to add onto. well set up.

    Sound:
sound is very rock/ upbeat. sound quality is exemplimary. Suaitable playing type is fast, hard and loud. purchase this kit if you want something inexpensive, high quality, gig worthy and impressive sounding. I would suggest (once you get used to the product) new frosted drum skins. This is a very easy kit to add on to, but the first things to go should be, hats, crash, kick pedal. those are the only things that flaw with this kit, but they take time to do so.

    Ease of Use:
when tuned properly. this kit sounds great, no getting around it. cymbals are lacking a little so get rid of 'em when you need to move upp.

    Support:
warranty varies at store. no repairs ever needed.

    Overall:
Overall, this is a great BEGGINER kit. easy to add onto, and easliy upgraded.

    "Decent set(read before purchasing.)"

    Feature:
It came with all the hardware but I replaced it all except for the one cymbal stand. Not a lot of features though, the hi-hat is the worst thing on the set, except for the cymbals but can you honestly expect to get good cymbals with even the most expensive high quality set you get (more than likely anything other than a starter kit does not include cymbals anyway.)

    Quality:
The shells are really the only good thing about this set. So when you buy it think for a second because the hardware is terrible except for the snare stand and the cymbal stand. Its basically like buying a shell pack with all the mounting hardware included because if your a serious drummer your gonna upgrade the hell outta this thing.

    Value:
I say it's a pertty good value for a beginner or intermediate. The price good be a bit cheaper though.

    Desirability:
The color is very appealing to the eye I have mine in red mother of pearl (I wanted it in green though but they were all out). But the eyes can be decieving so if you are serious about your drums consider more than just looks when you purchase this or any other kit.

    Sound:
This is definatly not the best set in the world but with some decent heads (i used Evans) you could get the snare to sound pretty good and the toms especially the low tom to sound pretty sic. But the the bass drum and the floor tom pretty much are a different story. I recommend just muffling the bass really well and tuning it quite low.

    Support:
Nope solved all problems with the set on my own.

    Overall:
This kit pretty much satisfied my needs until I could get the money for my dream kit. It can take quite a beating, and for all of you so called "pros" who are talking about how horrible this kit is and Tama, Pearl, etc. is a better brand. Well uh news flash CB drums is a starter company and if you looked at this product before you bought it you would have known it says CB SP5 right on it (SP meaning STARTER PACKAGE). Of course Tama and Pearl or other brands are better because they are not a company that specializes in starter kits! And if you know starter kits that are cheaper than why are you complaining?! why didn't you buy that one then?! Keep in mind these comments don't apply to all who read it or posted their reviews.

"Great value, very good sound with work, durable if you dont tear them down every night. There are exceptional value if you set t"

    Feature:
hardware is pretty good considering the cost. Sets 300 higher have the same hardware unless you get into a high end set ($1000. The high hat and thone are not great but again ok considering the cost. The kick pedal is ok but squeaks badly and is sluggish (I replaced this with a DW)

    Quality:
Just as good as a $700 kit. Cosmetics, I like natural finish but the wrap is very durable, easy to clean, takes allot of abuse and keeps on looking very good.

    Value:
In short for a starter kit, there was nothing around to compare to the price. Tama and Pearl now have comparable entry level kits but still cost more.

    Desirability:
    looks very good set up

    Sound:
Replace the heads with 2 ply (Remo)weatherking, gets rid of the ringing. Dampen the bass and use dampening rings on the toms and snares. Throw the cymbals in the trash and buy any replacement as long as they are zildjan or paiste. When this is completed you will be very suprised at the sound quality. I purchased this as a second set to keep in the practice room. My main set stays packed for travel and setup at gigs. Kit sounds really decent since my upgrades. My friends are really amazed at the sound considering the price.

    Support:
I rated this 7 because I have not had to use them. No issues with my kit. I have had my CB kit about 6 years.

    Overall:
I will probably sell this kit this summer to a kid that I know that is looking for a starter set. I do not want to part with it but space becomes an issue when you own multiple sets. I would buy this kit again if I wanted a new inexpensive set.

"Why CBdrums is the best choice."

    Feature:
It came with a straight boom and hihat stand and i am still using both after about four months (after it was on the shelf for who knows how long).

    Quality:
Like before surving without any damage in a dusty old shop/garage atop a shelf proves its astounding qulaity and value of the shells and hardware.

    Value:
I got it for a much lower price of course when i got since it was used, however the price listed seems a little low for the great value it holds yet, it is still a good listing.

    Desirability:
It's not a very pretty set yet i have gotten used to it and it's color (white) now seems a very appropriate color and very 'cute'.

    Sound:
Has very long-lasting quality: before i got it it was sittin' up on a shelf collecting ruinous dust and so i dusted it off painted with matching colors, over the 'bruises' and gave it new heads and now it performs better and louder than any set i have experienced.

    Support:
Actually i have no communication with the manufacture because i received from someone who did, so i have not met the company.

    Overall:
I plan to use this set until it breaks on me i would wear it out greater than the previous user did and i am well on my way.

    "Why CB ROCKS!"

    Feature:
It came with great features I was really satisfied with what I got for what I paid.

    Quality:
The drum set is made very well I put it together in 30 minutes and it's perfect. I have to tune the drums very often put it's worth it for the sound and quality I get.

    Value:
It's worth every penny i spend on it

    Desirability:
    It's very attractive

    Sound:
The drum heads could be made by a better material such as REMO uses

    Support:
the company os great there very nice and I appriciated what they did for me.

"These Drums are great for the price and i would recommend them to any type of drummer. Get new cymbals though."

    Feature:
It was nice that it came with cymbals even though they weren't very good.

    Quality:
the drums themselves are very good quality and produce a nice sound, but the cymbals are very poor in quality and sound very bad.

    Value:
The value on the drums is very good. For the price, the drums create a nice sound and are very durable.

    Desirability:
Well the colour of my drums is a very nice burgandy colour so that looks really nice.

    Sound:
The sound on the drums is acceptable if you know how to tune, but I would recommend getting new drum heads and a new cymbal set then the kit will sound very good.

    Ease of Use:
The kit was incredibly easy to set-up,I had in up in less than 30 minutes.

    Support:
    Haven't needed any support.

    Overall:
I will probably never buy a new kit because the cb's sound great after a few minor changes and they are very durable.

"Great Starter Kit for Little Cash!!!!"

    Feature:
The Kit comes with everything a Beginner would need but any serious drummer would replace all the Heads and Symbols and Hardware....

    Quality:
The Toms and Mounts are all good Quality and Durrable but the worst Part of the Kit are the Hi-Hats/Cymbols and the heads are next...

    Value:
It was the Best deal By Far in the Whole Music Store..the Next set up cost 3 times as Much..You just have to realize when you Buy it that you will have to replace the Hi-Hats/Cymbols and heads....

    Desirability:
    Nice looking Kit....

    Sound:
This set Sounds Great if you First replace all of the Heads and the Hi-Hats and Cymbals...Actually you can get a Good Sound out of the Cheapo heads that come with it But you first have to tune them Properly and a Bunch of Duct tape on the skins to stop the Ringing also helps..I ended up replaceing the Hi-Hats with a set if Sabian AA ,and replaced the Ride with a Cheap Sabian Solo 18in ride and the Crash with a Zildian 14in Crash and I got a set of DW double Kick pedals and Now the Set sounds Just as Good as My Old Pearl Export Series set which cost me 3 times what this set cost me...

"Real drummers on a budget will love this set"

    Feature:
Shells are good. Heads are ok. Stands are good but hi-hat could be better-i've had worse! I upgraded cymbals. Everything else is pretty normal.

    Quality:
For the money I paid, the quility is exceptional.

    Value:
Yes it is worth it. The price was very reasonable for the quality. Tell me what other set you can get for this price that doesn't have paper heads and a kiddie cymbal.

    Desirability:
I have a black set. It looks great with the silver snare. Very appealing. Looks like a well made cool set.

    Sound:
The sound of this set is great if you are a drummer and you know how to make a set sound good by tuning and dampening the heads properly. This is not a top of the line set so let's get that straight first, but any drummer who knows what he is doing can make a cardboard box sound good. People who say the sound of this set is poor really can't be drummers or at least drummers who know what they are doing. Yeah drums come with cheap heads and cheap cymbals...what else is new. If you want the best of everything, buy the $3,000 set. Otherwise let the rest of us enjoy this set.

    Support:
    No repairs needed.

    Overall:
I would probably buy another one if it was stolen as I like change. Otherwise I am happy with what I have.

"GREAT FOR BEGINNERS WHO DOESN`T A BIG CASH FLOW"

    Feature:
it came with a throne its not the best but it gets the job done. the cymbals pretty much suck

    Quality:
it is a pretty strong set and will hold up to even the toughest players. if you took it on the road it wouldn`t get damaged easily.

    Value:
for the price you are deffinitly getting your moneys worth.

    Desirability:
its a good lokking set that caught my eye and for the price you can`t get any better.

    Sound:
if you play to hard you better be ready to tune it. after about 10 minutes of constant playing it gets out of tune. the cymbals sound good for a little while but then they get a very bad sizzle sound especialy the crash/ride. i would suggest zildjian ZBT`s.

    Support:
i never hade a problem that wasn`t easily fixed so i never had to contact the company.

"CB DRUMS ARE AVERAGE...BUT THEY ARE OK FOR SOMETHING TO POUND ON...."

    Feature:
The accessories, as other reviewers have pointed out, are pretty useless. I suggest getting rid of the hi-hat stand and get a better throne. That seat is very unconfortable. The cymbol stands are ok, but get rid of the cymbols. By far the most useful feature of the kit is that you can rotate the upper toms into whatever position you need them to be in. This works great for adding additional drums to the kit. Unfortunately the upper toms are just designed to match the CB upper tom kit holders. The hardware would have to be replaced in order to make any addtional drums fit the holders.

    Quality:
The hardware on the actual drumkit is made well. You can pound on the kit and all the toms will hold their position. There is no ringing from loose hardware on this kit.

    Value:
It's ok. The drumkit is on par with most beginner drum kits out there.

    Desirability:
The CB kit is a good beginner drumkit. Appearance wise, though, it reminds me of something MxPx or Sum 41 would use on stage. It's kind of dorky but it is functional.

    Sound:
The sound of the drums is overall very decent for a beginner drum kit. Unfortunately I have to knock off some points when it comes to tuning the drums. For instance, it's extremely difficult to dial in the correct tone on the upper high tom. It always comes out sounding flat or the tone just does not match the resonance of the middle tom or the floor tom. I've changed out the original skins and have replaced them, this problem still occurs.

    Ease of Use:
As I've pointed out before....tuning the drums can be challenging. The drumkit has a very narrow "sweetspot" between sounding too ringy or too flat. Also good luck trying to tune the upper tom. I've owned the kit for about a year and I still have yet to find the sweetspot on that tom.

    Support:
    Never dealt with the company.

    Overall:
Overall, I'll probably wear the CB drumkit out before I replace it. Mainly because it fits in my car and I don't care if it gets banged or scratched up from transporting between gigs or practice spaces. It's a good kit to "beat around on" in the meantime.

    Feature:
the heads and cymbals did not last, the foot pedal was not strong enough.

    Quality:
some parts were loose when i got the kit home. I use the kit on the road constantly, they sound great.

    Value:

    Sound:
i like the sound of the drums, although i had put on oil filled heads to deepen the sound. that really made a huge difference. I have sabian, paiste, and zildian cymbals on my kit. I recently bought a set of pearl export, and i still like the sound of my cb's better.

"Take it from a seasoned drummer.....this is a great set for the price!"

    Feature:
Everything you need is included but you may want another crash cymbal

    Quality:
Other than the hi hat stand, the quality really impressed me. For the price this is a high quality set and is more solid than a Pearl set I owned years ago. If you are a real working drummer, you will want better, but if you just like to jam and practice this set is perfect.

    Value:
Excellent set for the price. High quality wood shells-not particle board, double braced stands, nice finish, looks and sound. Hi hat stand could be improved.

    Desirability:
    Great looks

    Sound:
I get great sound out of this set, even with the original heads. If you have been playing for awhile and know how to tune a drum head you can too.

    Support:
    No experience. Nothing has broken.

    Overall:
This is a decent set, and if you know what you are doing, you can tune it to sound great. I have been drumming for 30 years and could play this set in public if I wanted to, and people would love the sound. If the set doesn't sound good, you need to read up on how to tune a drum set. Even with the stock heads, I get mine to sound great. Hi hat stand is only poor part of set.

"Decent value for begginers, but not long lasting."

    Feature:
    The stands work well.

    Quality:
Itll last a fair. amount of time

    Value:
    Real Cheap

    Desirability:
Pretty Attractive set. The wine is really shiny and nice.

    Sound:
This is a okay set. good value for begginers. I bought it about a year ago and the sound has weakened over time. Im currently in the process of trading up. I would probably get new cymbals (Zildjian ZBTs are good) and DEFINATELY muffle the bass. The snare also sounds horrible. Overall, a good value but definately not a set for anyone other than a begginer.

    Ease of Use:
Itll take some work to fine tune the bass.

    Overall:
Itll work well while you learn the ropes of drumming but you'll soon need to upgrade.

    "Heres the scoop"

    Feature:
the stock cymbals, stands, pedal, and heads all need replaced. I bought some sabian cymbals and highhat, yamaha stands, dixie db pedal, and remo weatherking heads.

    Quality:
The overall quality of the shells and hardware is fine, but the stands and pedals and cymbals need replaced.

    Sound:
It sounds really crappy if you can't tune the toms right, but if you buy muffling rings it's pretty nice for a newbie set.

    Support:
    I dunno, never had to.

    Overall:
I have drummed for 5 years and I have 3 sets. I had the cb for 2 and 1/2 years before I bought my Mapex and my Tama(very good sets!) and the cb held up pretty well.

    Sound:
I have an older cb drum set and am borrowing it from somebody. It is old and it is still a good drum set. Cymbols were good and snare was good heads were kind of cheap though. But overall though i will give it a 10 because it is an awesome drum set.

    "Overall Good"

    Feature:
Pretty musch everything that came with it was bad. The pedal, the cymbal stands, they all werent very good. You pretty much have to replace those too.

    Sound:
when you first buy this, it sounds like crap. But if you replace the drum heads, the kit sounds fine.
