This pedal is GREAT! I use it to boost my signal before hitting my amp. Almost every clean boost I've ever used in the past instantly changed the tone the moment you kick it on, either by dropping some low end or adding a slight high end boost. Not this EQ pedal - it delivers what 90% of clean boost pedals on the market promise but don't deliver - TOTALLY UNALTERED CLEAN BOOST. The EQ section is just icing on the cake. Don't believe me - try it! It's a shame the manual doesn't specifically state how much boost is available but experience tells me roughly 12-15db of boost with all the EQ bands set flat (no frequency boosting or cutting going on). The unit is made of plastic, but a very hard & durable kind of plastic - gives a very metal-like feel to the touch & a nice weighty heft to the pedal too, doesn't feel like a toy. The pedal has a very small footprint - easy to fit into a gig bag or find a spot on a pedalboard. The pedal is EXTREMELY QUIET - no discernible added noise when engaged & true bypass when it's off. If there is one "con" to the pedal I'd like to see improved is the stomp switch itself - it's more like a button rather than the metal stomp switch that 90% of stomp pedals usually have. There is no "click" under your foot when you step on it. This is of little concern to me because I use it in an always-on fashion rather than toggling it on & off all the time. Players who toggle a lot might feel more adamant about the durability of the switch. HIGHLY recommended!

Really helps sculpt your amp/guitar tone.After almost 30 years of gigging, I finally got an EQ pedal. Very happy with my tone capability now. You can remove the annoying frequencies (if there are any)from your overall tone pretty easily. Also, you can use this pedal as a volume boost for leads, without radically changing the tone of your guitar/amp combo.

The controllers have just the right resistance so that they won't move TOO easily.

Nicely put together, but realize that it is NOT a made of metal foot-stomper that will take too much abuse from a heavy foot! The actual button to engage the pedal is kinda small, as is the entire unit.

Great price for a unit that does its job very well. If you've got a soft touch with your feet, or plan to leave the EQ on full-time, this is a real bargain. If you like to stomp on and off frequently, you might look elsewhere.

I play through a Vox modeling amp with just 2 programmable preset options.I like the Fender Bassman 410 sound for cleans, and the Vox AC15 with nice tube drive for heavier tones. I use up to 4 guitars per gig. So, each guitar will sound a bit different playing through either amp model, and tweaking the EQ pedal can quickly enhance my tone without adjusting my amp presets onstage. For recording, the EQ really helps tweak my tone for all amp models on the Vox.
