"IF you like grunge, then youll love the bigmuff"

    Sound:
the sound is amazing for the type of music i play. It is is also extremly versitle and achieves all sides of the spectrum.
    Feature:
the only problem is the lack of a/c adapter, but it is still great. I prefer analog pedals, and this one is great.
    Quality:
The metal casing is amazingly well built. It is the most durible of any pedal i've ever seen.It doesn't have much color and such things on it, but i dont really like all of that pretty colorful stuff on it.
    Manufacturer Support:
i have never contacted the company
    Value:
the product is a great price for what you get
    The Wow Factor:
It really depends on the type of music you like, personally, i love the seattle grunge scene, and bands like mudhoney an even nirvana used the big muff. Of course jimi hendrix and pink floyd and all them used it as well. If you don't like the that music, then it is kind of hard to be exposed to the pedal.
    Overall:
from what i've seen, i doubt i'll have to replace this pedal for a very long time. This product helps me achieve the exact grunge fuzzy distortion that im looking for. It is great and i recommend it to everybody

    Style of Music: ROCK.CLASSIC ROCK,

"BIG MUFF-iF U DONT HAVE ONE THEN U BETTER GET ONE SOON."

    Sound:
the first time i heard this pedal i was like WOW. back up a second what is that? i went 2 have a look at the guitarists setup and saw it was a big muff. the lead sound was absolutely incredible. i loved the pedal. the guitarist was playing through a jackson with twin humbuckers. the sound was mind blowing. i immediatley neede to get my hands on one. i recently listened carefully to some Hendrix songs and yuo could hear the MUFF coming through. it was fantastic. the pedal is what i have always been looking for in a lead sound. i have only three words left to say. AWESOME, MINDBLOWING, GODSEND!!!!!!
    Feature:
the pedal is not complicated to use and has only the necessary things needed to create absolutely historical sounds. fanttastic. if it had any thing else i wouldn't have bought it.
    Quality:
the look of it looks real vintage and fits perfectly. its a chunky pedal but looks good on your set up and sounds even better at ur pracs and gigs.
    Value:
i went on the internet to check it out and almost fell off my chair when i saw the price. i thoguht there was a typing error or something. definitely priced well
    The Wow Factor:
it really expands your sound. i also own a line 6 POD 2.0, and a jim dunlop JH1 hendrix wah. if you run this thing through that kind of equipment ur bound to get the maximum sound possible .
    Overall:
i bought and i'll never look back again. its just a fantastic, easy to use, reat sounding, good looking, solid and versatile piece of equipment to have.

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Sound:
Hmm..not the distortion pedal for everyone, but it's perfect for me...the Big Muff is like a blend of fuzz/distortion/sustainer..if you want to know what it sounds like, listen to just about any Mudhoney track..it's kind of a one trick pony, but, man, what a trick..I have a Daddy-o O.D. for lighter overdriven sounds and the Muff for full on dirt on chords and endless (nearly) sustain on leads.
    Feature:
it's got what you need, and not much else..I deducted points for a couple of things..A: the metal seems a little flimsy to me B: plastic input jacks C: For whatever reason, the Sovtek model has the input/output reversed to standard, which is a major pain if you use a pedalboard.
    Quality:
Back to the flimsy metal and plastic input jacks again, and the innards seem, well, tentative at best. I baby my stuff, so i'm not worried, but I can see it breaking with real hard use. So all you pedal stompers, beware.
    Manufacturer Support:
haven't ever dealt with EHX, but have heard mixed reviews about their service...I'll base it on the services available on their site..which is none...no online registration, no online manuals...both of which seem to be becoming industry standards.
    Value:
I got it NIB for $45 on e-bay...saved about $10-$15 off of retail and I think it's a good value, but I rarely pay retail for equipment anymore.
    The Wow Factor:
Aesthetics?!? Are you joking?!?..this is one of the ugliest boxes I've ever seen, but it sounds so good. Do people really buy stompboxes because they're pretty? Maybe this section is more for guitars.
    Overall:
This one will stay in my chain for a long time...I've got a few other edals that are just waiting for upgrades (wah, envelope filter) but this ones a keeper.
