Feature:
No features to smile about

Quality:
Build strong, but it still sucks

Desirability:
Way too much for this crap. I now own the digi 002....big improvement.

Sound:
Not impressive

Support:
Between digidesign and native instruments, i don't know who has the world's worst customer service!

Overall:
Don't buy this unless you plan on using guitars only. OTHERWISE get the Digi 002. Don't crumble at the price, thats the cheapest "productive" system. Everything else after that is 10k and up.

"Stay AWAY! It requires I reFORMAT my hard drive to work!"

Sound:
I suppose it sounds great but I can't hear most of what I've recorded in the past! Won't open files more than 32 characters long that I did in Cool Edit. Can't use Cool Edit because it won't support the format. Can't get it to play anything except Windows media player... no system sounds, no internet, no Quick Time, No DVD software, no iTunes,... according to tech support (who have been helpful when I get ahold of them... sometimes busy and just won't take call... throw you off the que) claim it's because I upgraded to XP Professional. Their fix... reformat my C drive completely.. load in new software for ALL my programs. Then is should work! Give me a break!!!@!!!!!!

"Very happy"

Feature:
i'm a rock/pop musician, i dont use midi. and with focusrite mic preamps it pays to have them

Quality:
quality is shown, i didn't open it and examine the board but a can say that what goes in comes out in good shape.

Value:
if you have 1800 to burn get the Mbox (so you have protools) and a MOTU 896 so you have 8 recordable channels! or get the not-yet released ESI-pro hexafire that has 8 channels also (up to 192khz)

Desirability:
looks sexxy and cool!

Sound:
the sound is certainly GOOD! I thought that if your a teenager that has a need to record guitar traks so your drummer and bassist can practice. The Mbox is there for that! My dad would like to record my brothers band at a gig, all he need is a Mbox, mics, and a external HD (and of coarse his laptop). the Mbox does that! and it sounds great.

Support:
no i didn't have any problems were i needed to call yet.

Overall:
i'm happy, it's not a apogee AD-8000 but it's a 10th of the price! i would get it if you need to just do some solo tracks, but i wouldn't use it do record drums or a hole band (you only have two in's) but's all good!
