    "Amazing Pedal!!!!!!!!!!"

    Feature:
The features are preety standard the one thing i don't like is you can't really control the amount of distortion.

    Quality:
Sounbds awesome and is built real tough.

    Value:
This pedal is the best distortion pedal ive ever heard the only one that comes close is the boss metal zone but i think this one sounds a little better.

    Desirability:
It looks cool and is built tough so there isn't anything i can complain about.

    Sound:
It sounds amazing. It really only works for one style of music metal but if you have an amp that has an overdrive already and are looking to add a little distortion this is it. One thing I noticed about this is that if you use this on the clean channel it makes a lot hum then if you have the standard overdrive on on your amp. I use this with my fender mexi strat and a fender frontman212r and I play the distortion pedal on the clean channel.

    Ease of Use:
Very easy to use it even come with a booklet that shows you some ways to set up the distortion pedal to dial in a great tone.

    Support:
never had to deal with them but the booklets they gave me realy helped me set up the distortion pedal.

    Overall:
This is probably one of the only distortion pedals i will ever buy at least untill i upgrade all my equipment and get a really good and really exspensive pedal.

"HIGH QUALITY DISTORTION PEDAL FOR A LOW PRICE!!!!!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
Low, Mid, High, and Level. Thats all you need.

    Quality:
The pedal is made very well. I've dropped it countless times, and it still works like the day I got it.

    Value:
This is a high quality pedal, for a low price. I'd reccomend it to anyone.

    Desirability:
I like the red on black design, it is very eye catching. before my last preformance, i had good comments on the was it looks.

    Sound:
For me, the sound is very expressive, it works great through my Marshall amp. In my opinion, if you play Metallica, this is the pedal you want!

    Ease of Use:
The pedal is very easy to use.

    Support:
No problems, I've never needed support.

    Overall:
I expect this will last me forever. Granted I'll stil get other distortion pedals, but Digitech Death Metal will be in my top 5 favorites forever!

    "100% pure DEATH \m/"

    Feature:
level, low, mid, high... all you need really. The EQ is VERY responsive in shaping the tone, giving you a wide range of possible sounds. It COULD come with a gain control, but WHY? It also has 2 outputs, one for your amp, one for ditrect recording, which really does give a good tone. You can plug in your guitar, then run a line from the 2nd output right into your computer's soundcard "line in" and it records beautifully!

    Quality:
like the saying goes, "built like a tank" and it is! The pots are nice and snug, staying put where you need them. The switching is completely silent, and Digitech gives a SIX year warranty if you register on their website.

    Value:
it's half the price of the BOSS Metal Zone, which is an awesome pedal, but again - twice the price of the Death Metal...

    Desirability:
if you wanna nail that BRUTAL Death Metal tone, this is THE pedal. As with any effects pedal, if you use a crappy guitar and a crappy amp, you're gonna sound like crap. Use a decent set-up and the rest is in your fingers.

    Sound:
don't be put off by the fact that it doesn't have a GAIN control - if you're even considering buying this, you'd have the gain dimed anyways! LOL I LOVE my Death Metal pedal - I traded in a BOSS DS-1 and a Digitech Grunge pedal on this at my local Guitar Center. If you're into heavy, HEAVY metal tone, buy this NOW. The 3-band EQ is EXTREMELY responsive, more than I expected. You can really get lots of differnt tones with the EQ, no problem.

    Ease of Use:
    very easy to use

    Support:
never needed them for ANY Digitech product I've used. PLUS, they have a 6 year warranty, just in case.

    Overall:
I don't plan on trading or selling this pedal. I'm sure I'll buy others, but this one isn't going anywhere!

    "Above avarage, but not great."

    Feature:
One could complain about the lack of a gain knob, but then one probably shouldnt be using this pedal. Its made for death metal, the knob should be turned up and ripped off. As I said above, the equalizer could be better. The Mid knob works great, but the Low and Hi knobs really dont do much.

    Quality:
    Its a tank.

    Value:
    Very good for its price

    Desirability:
    Just look at it.

    Sound:
Just what you'd expect with any distortion made for Death Metal: Its loud, its dark, and its heavy. It pretty much sounds like a fuzz box on steroids, which is a good thing in the death metal genre, but if your looking for a clean distortion like that found in the BOSS Metal Master, forget it. One of the major problems I have with it is its lack of versatility, no matter how you mess with the equalizer, it still sounds pretty much the same. Still, its great at what it does.

    Support:
Ive never had to deal with customer support. The product quality is rediculously high, so I doubt I ever will.

    Overall:
Overall I was slightly disappointed with the product. Its extremely powerful, but I would have liked a cleaner distortion. I think this pedal suits rythme guitar best, if your looking for a good lead sound go for the BOSS Metal Zone of the X-series Metal Master.
