"You don't play it, you EXPERIENCE it!"

Sound:
If you're looking for the Hendrix tone, this is the pedal. Every one of the model tones are dead on for the recordings. You won't need other pedals for that tone, this is the one.
Feature:
The purple velvet gig bag with Jimi's signature embroidered on it was killer. The pick was so-so. The pedal's appearance is phenomenal. The features of the pedal itself are outstanding.
Quality:
Solid as a tank. fantastic paint job. No loose parts, but the control knobs seem to be on the fragile side. I'll velcro mine to the pedal board. Probably will break down and get the optional FS3X pedal to control the model switching and toe/heel modes. Too bad that won't have an idicator telling you which model you're in. Also, remember that the power supply is 9 volts AC, so if you're on the road, you shoul dprobably have a spare power supply because you won't be able to replace this one with something from Radio Shack.
Manufacturer Support:
Luckily, most of the Digitech product I own have never needed repair. No experience with the warranty on this pedal, but was somewhat put off by the caveat on the bottom of the pedal that says that removing the label or even the screws on the bottom of the pedal voids the warranty. Okay, have it your way, but Digitech needs to find a gentler way to ease guitarists into this new era. Most guitarists that use stompboxes are used to having the unalienable right to open them up and see what makes them do what they do...
Value:
This pedal is worth the price.
The Wow Factor:
Come on. It's HENDRIX. Why futz around with a rat's nest of pedals and cables to come close to the classic sounds when you can have one pedal that does them all exactly? Short of being able to load VST plug-ins into a stompbox (is anyone out there listening), this is the ultimate pedal. This is the direction for stompboxes to come.
Overall:
I will use this pedal to play out and will probably buy another one as a back up. Digitech is notorious for issuing a killer pedal and then abruptly ending production (remember the Talker?), "improving" it at the expense of the best features (the original Whammy), so I'll be buying a back up in case it becomes a classic.
