"Hey Metalheads...You're Stupid Not To Buy This!!"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Feature:
You can't get much better than this. I mean, 7 different sounds in one stompbox?? Come on people!! They even throw in a pedal bag for it and a power supply. I can't argue with free stuff.
Quality:
It's a machine!! I can stand on top of it and it doesn't give at all. It's solid, strong, and dependable. The finish on it is really cool, too. The sheetmetal look makes it stick out from all the others. I don't it's possible for anything to break on it.
Value:
I only payed $100 for this baby, and I don't regret it at all. It's a great value and you really can't find a pedal worth this much money anywhere else that has all these features. It's a good buy!
Desirability:
Look at the thing!! It looks bad ass. Who wouldn't want this thing??
Sound:
I'm a big Disturbed fan, so when I got this pedal, I was excited to figure out what settings were used for what songs. They sound nearly exact the the album, which is great. The clearity is great and the tone is right on. I'm not too sure about the whammy effect, it doesn't sound quite right, but still a cool effect. I've used it in live shows before and have had compliments about the great effects sounds, so I'd say it sounds pretty damn good ;)
Ease of Use:
This is the only problem I have with the pedal, and it seems like others agree too. The thing that would make this pedal awesome is the ability to switch between effects without having to bend down and do it manually turning the dial. If Digitech could make that happen, this really would be one of the most perfect pedals.
Support:
I haven't used support on this item yet (and I probably won't), but I've used it on other Digitech products. They are very good at replying to e-mails quickly and are very helpful. If anything needs to be fixed, it's very reasonable to get it done.
Something cool about this pedal though, is that you can go on the Digitech website and find The Weapon, and if you click to hear sound bites played by Dan Donegan of Disturbed, it will show you exactly what setting to put on your pedal to get the sound he uses. Very cool!
Overall:
Like I said before, all these features are amazing and sound great. Now only if they can think of a way to switch between effects, it would be perfect.
