Style of Music: depends on the day

"great for beginners who don't want simultaneous recording"

Sound:

crisp clear sound but with sometimes unexpected choppiness

Feature:

2 input 24 bit recording, great starting place for individuals new to PC recording. It could use some more drivers (ahem...GSIF!!....cough) but hey I'll get over it.

Quality:

rivals others in its category, I've dropped it a couple times and it works fine (for a plastic box that is)

Manufacturer Support:

didn't have to use support

Value:

great value for beginngers

The Wow Factor:

not the most aesthitic looking thing in the world, but it is very discreet and has a cool blinking blue LED

Overall:

I'm about to upgrade this for something with more inputs and GSIF (gigasampler) drivers (which Edirol lacks). This is a great unit for beginning home studio enthusiasts. There is a slight problem with choppiness sometimes so one must ensure he/she is using a nicely tweaked PC. The sound on playback is crystal clear and the ASIO drivers provide low latency for those much desired soft synths.

"Disappointed"

Sound:

Audio would not work. Only got the MIDI up and running and it worked fine. I work in IT and spent an entire weekend trying to get it to give me sound and couldn't.

Feature:

Came with a USB cable. (a bonus since they are over priced)

Quality:

Looks cheap. Feels cheap.

Manufacturer Support:

Tech support did reply quickly, but answer was vague. I wish they had a 1-800 number to talk to a tech.

Overall:

I'm returing this product tomorrow. Very frustrated.
