The top boost works awesome for solos, and makes your sound really be heard. The only problem with it is that it REALLY makes your guitar hot, so a noise gate would be a good investment for using this product to its full potential.
Quality:
The petal is made out of metal. I've dropped it, stomped on it hard while headbanging, dished out a LOT of punishment, and it took it like a champ. Not even a ding! Badass, if you ask me.
Value:
For what you're getting, this petal is SO worth the money. Save your quarters boys...this one's worth it!
Desirability:
This petal is DEAD sexy.
Sound:
I bought this product and it works great for getting the distortion and low-end that metal guitarists (like me) love and pursue. For solos, the top-boost works AWESOME.
Ease of Use:
Two buttons. Big, easy-to-read knobs. Metalheads can't afford to strain their eyes..it may cause a stroke! Awesome and user-friendly. Can't beat it.
Overall:
I think this thing will outlast me. If it doesn't...well...that sucks now don't it?
