Great sound...very comparable to a Shure SM58!

Feature:

Very flexible mike...sounded great with vocals and instruments....

Manufacturer Support:

I have not had to work with EV for support...ever...as their products are always built well and perform without issues. I own one of their topline vocal mikes and it has worked great for several years!

Value:

Price vs. Performance - this microphone is unbeatable in this category!

Overall:

I've been a performing musician (sax, flute, etc.) for a lot of years and have worked with a lot of pro-line microphones. That being said, my purchase of the EV PL-24 was NOT a step-down at all! I compared it to a Shure SM58 microphone and it was VERY close in sound and output...to the point I would select the EV microphone without hesitation. I'll be using the two PL-24s I just purchased to mike both voice and instruments (violin, Irish Flute, etc.) and our recent rehearsals using the newly acquired mikes tells me they are exactly what we needed...really great sounding mikes for a very affordable cost! Highly recommened! And..SameDayMusic was a breeze to work with..and got my purchase to me very fast!!
