"Clean, powerful, accurate sound. All the music is there in these speakers. Worth the cost if you are serious about great sound"
Feature:We pole mount them - they have a "guide" on the bottom of the speaker that helps you to slide the speaker right to the mounting hole - plus they are relatively light - so mounting is easy. Retractable feet for monitor use is nice.
Quality:
We use these on the road - in and out of a trailer and up and down on stage. They get a little scratched up, but seem to be as tough as nails.
Value:
They are not cheap, but I've owned cheap, and now I own quality - You get what you pay for.
Desirability:
They look great - not your typical carpet covered box - they have a nice shape, smoooth exterior, but don't dominate the visuals of the stage.
Sound:
I give these speakers a 9, simply because a 10 implies perfect, and I"m not sure that exists. We run them with two Crown XLS 602's, one to each speaker, bridged at 1,200 watts per speaker. The sound is loud, clean, and accurate with great dispersion. We use them for live bands, PA applications, and DJ. Versatile, light weight, and powerful. We've compared them to JBL, EV Eliminators, Peavey, and others, and they are far superior. They cost more, but are worth the difference. I recommend a sub to fill in the low end and rock the floor - we use the EV SBA 760, a single for now, but plan to add a second.
Ease of Use:
These are great speakers - but knowledge and use of sufficient power amplification, knowledge of mixers and effects, mic placement, feedback control, etc. is essential for getting the best out of them (or any other cabinet).
Support:
N/A - Haven't had a problem up to this point.
Overall:
I feel I will be satisfied with this product for a long time. The more I hear them, the better they seem to sound. They are the standard by which I listen to music live or recorded. If I supplement it, it will only be to add 2 (or more) of the same.
