    "good for some, not everyone"

    Feature:
features are good for the cost

    Quality:
im sure the hardware is made just fine , but ive had this card since it first came out, (awhile)and have had a multitude of problems with it. Most of it with pop and crackle, yes ive updated the drivers.

    Value:
i would have taken a worse sounding card if it didnt take away the countless hours of recording that this one has. I cant use emulater x without it. wish I wouldnt have bought it.

    Desirability:
    read value. f< no

    Sound:
it sounds great when its not crackled

    Support:
ive emailed them plenty of times and they usually get back to me within a day or so. they suggest a lot of bs I tried before I even emailed them.

    Overall:
i am getting more pissed of the more I write so I think I better quit.

    "Emu 1212M problems"

    Feature:
Their VST instruments soon let you know when they have used up the boards resources - you have to keep one eye on the monitor.

    Quality:
    OK

    Value:
Mine broke down after 2 months and cannot get it repaired.

    Desirability:
If it accelerated all VST plugins (as I thought it would) and it worked consistly then it would be a product.

    Sound:
The VST accelerator only works with designated software and then with some trouble.

    Support:
    Bad, couldn't get a responce.

    Overall:
    I have something else now.

    Overall:

"All the hype, half the flavor."

    Feature:
Balance I/O is a big plus over many budget cheapie cards. "Mastering grade flagship converters?" I was never much of a fan of Digi's chips (AKM's, if I'm not mistaken) in the first place, but that's a lot of hype anyway. The chip is such a small part of the sound. In this case, it seems that Emu forgot about that also.

    Quality:
In a friends computer - No idea on the build quality. Apparently, the components leave a lot to be desired.

    Value:
For a 192kHz interface, it's fine as long as you're not really concerned about professional quality.

    Desirability:
    N/A

    Sound:
Reasonable at best - Almost embarrasing at 192kHz. No idea what all these folks are talking about.

    Support:
    N/A

    Overall:
Middle of the road at best. There are far better sounding 96kHz interfaces out there. If you don't actually need 192kHz, you should go with something else.
