    "A+ Axe"

    Feature:
The neck is fast and smooth. This is a very easy instrumetnto play through four sets.

    Quality:
Considering it only cost $350, it's a great value. I would have expected a great differential between it and the Gibson E335...only difference is I kept $1500 in my wallet.

    Value:
Again, the most bang for buck in a semi-hollow you can find.

    Desirability:
The guitar is a beauty. I have it in Natural and it glows on stage. I've had numerous inquiries from guitarists in the audience about this axe. Mind you, I have an American Strat(customized)that doesn't draw as much interest.

    Sound:
The sound is silky. I use it as my primary jazz/R&B axe. It's able to get the warmth of Lee Ritenour tunes and soft enough to not be over bearing in small venues. I would probably change out the bridge pickup...a little weak.

    Ease of Use:
I run it through my Boss GT-6 and and Art Tube MP and it purrs. When I hit one the distortions in the Boss, it growls. Very versatile.

    Support:
Havene't had a need to call in but the Epi website is great.

    Overall:
If you can find a better guitar in this price range buy it now!!!

    Epiphone Dot Customer Review

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
It's not loaded with many features, but you don't need them. It's not really about features with this guitar, it's more about the sound quality, incredible value, and the fact that it is very very fun to play. Oh yeah, it's great just to look at it. It's a work of art.

    Quality:
The product seems to be very well made. I got the vintage sunburst first, I has a beautiful finish on it. I did find some minor blemishes, but they were on the binding underneath, where you can't really see it. You can't expect perfection on a guitar at this price point. I think this baby will hold up for a long time.

    Value:
This guitar is surely worth the purchase price. You could find guitars of this design type under different labels, that may be less expensive, but they can never match this Epiphone. They have been doing this a very very lomg time.

    Desirability:
I think it has quite a lot of sex appeal. I'm an older guy, so it's hard for me to say how the young folks would react, but I'll tell you,I'm crazy about this guitar.

    Sound:
The sound is very expressive. I'm using it with a variety of Boss compact pedals. The seven band equalizer really helps you tune in the desired sound. The chorus also sounds great. Have not done any recording yet, but I'm sure it will excell.

    Ease of Use:
It's very very easy to get the sounds you want. I've mostly been an acoustic guitar person, but I one night I saw a guy playing jazz on the $2500 Gibson Dot. I was hooked. I was going to get the Gibson version, but decided to go with the Epiphone. So here's an acoustic die hard, on an electric, well I took right to it. It's like somewhere in between the two. It's very simple to get used to it.

    Support:
I haven't had the guitar that long, but I did call customer service to ask questions. They answered in a timely manner, were very friendly and helpful. I was very impressed.

    Overall:
I have over 25 guitars, and basses now. Actually, I lost track. I think this is going to be one of my favorites. If this guitar was lost or stolen, I probably would replace it, even though I also bought a cherry , and natural one also.

"Find one, play one, and buy one"

    Feature:
The selection of componets is wonderful. It combines the richness in sound and apperance of maple and rosewood.

    Quality:
It is top notch. I have been a gibson fan for 28 years and I find that nothing is lost with the epiphone.

    Value:
Based on value for the money, I find that the epiphone dot is worth its price. The difference between it and the gibson are noteworthy.

    Desirability:
The archtop in my opinon is the defination of what an electric guitar shold look like. It is both sleek and alluring. In short, beautiful.

    Sound:
I find the quality to be outstanding. It compares quite well with its big brother the es-335. However, the price more than makes up the difference. It moves well and sounds wonderful. I find it to have a highly diverse range.

    Support:

    Overall:
I play both recreationally and some professionally. I was in search of a versatile guitar and I have found it. I will have this guitar for a long time to come.

    Feature:
when i got this it came with the epiphone hardcase which is maybe not a thick as flight-case standad but i great for gigging.

    Quality:
very high quality control the finish is perfect (very shiny) a very 'solid' hollow bodied guitar.

    Desirability:
this guitar has high sex appeal

    Sound:
oh my god i play all different types of music on this , thid guitar is as flexible a semi-melted cheese string. i use a marshall-jackhammer overdrive pedal with a cry baby wah-wah.

    "Buy this guitar."

    Feature:
Glued in mahogany neck, Humbuckers, nice maple body. Though i didn't like the pickguard and i took it off.

    Quality:
The paint wasnt in great condition underneath the pickguard when i took it off, looks like they may have gotten lazy in that area because they knew thepickguard was gonna go over it.

    Value:
Very very similar to the vastly more expensive Gibson Dot. For the amount of quality your getting for the price, this guitar is of incredible value.

    Desirability:
Beautiful. Its a magnificent guitar, very attractive.

    Sound:
The sound is a rich, soft sound. You get a nice almost rough tone when using the mids and when you siwtch to the highs you get an almost acoustic sound. Great, just amazing.

    Overall:
    Great guitar, period.

"A great guitar for jazz/funk or blues. I've played a Gibson 335 and there's not much difference (except 1500 dollars!)"

    Sound:
The pickups are a bit weak, replacing them would make this a really brilliant axe.
