"Vintage Sunburst Drop-Dead Beauty"
Feature:Features and accessories? Hey its only a guitar, not a Lexus. But the quality of the materials and parts appears to be excellent.
Quality:
Stunning beauty! I can't take my eyes off it!! the tuner buttons are a bit TOO green, but they're nice and smooth to me... My EJ is supposed to be a factory second, but I've yet to find whatever flaw the inspector found that condemned it...
Value:
I bought a "second" for $100 off. I can see no flaws that are unworthy of a "production" instrument. It's priced a bit higher than it's competitors, but it was easily the most beautiful thing I found under about $1000 or so. And it plays and sounds just fine. Take the looks away and there's lots of other nice guitars to choose from out there...
Desirability:
Sex appeal? If it was a woman, I'd hop on it in a heart beat. To me, it would be worth the price even if it didn't play, and I just sat and stared at it all day. There's not many things that a poor man can buy that I can say this about, y'know? Oh yeah, and I hear that a couple of those Beatle-dudes used to play the Gibson replica of it, but that's just some people talkin'...I wouldn't know, myself...
Sound:
Sounds fine to me. Every single guitar has it's own sound, and how much you like it kinda depends on what you're looking for. This guitar sounds like a big ol' dreadnought. In fact it IS a big ol' dreadnaught... I have yet to try it through an amp... My wife thinks I'm loud enough as it is...
Ease of Use:
Sounds just fine, plays great, nice action out of the box. I haven't messed round with the amplified sound, yet. I never take it out of the house...
Support:
Haven't really dealt with them, so I can't penalize them for that, hence the arbitrary "9"...
Overall:
Ironically, it's almost to gorgeous to play. I'm afraid I'll scratch it. I've never been very anal about my instruments, but I'd faint if I put a scratch this one. I wind up playing my other guitars so I can bang 'em around without worrying about it...
