"Best small bodied guitar for the price and above"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Feature:
Well, you either love or get used to the satin finish. I don't buy a guitar for how it looks. It's going to be played, it's going to get dings, finish checking, scratches. If your looking for a glossy guitar that looks pretty on the wall, than look elsewhere. It still looks good with the old style headstock, pickguard.
Why did they drop the hardshell case with hygrometer, it is a great case that I had to search for elsewhere??
Quality:
This was built where? It doesn't matter, I'll put this guitar up to any small bodied guitar that is produced with similar materials. That goes for Martin, Larrivee, etc. I've owned several small bodied martins and larrivess which are fine guitars, but your paying much more for the name.
Value:
They should've still continued to give the hardshell case, or at least have the option to add it on. I was a little worried when I saw it was double boxed, but it arrived ok.
Sound:
Has some of the best sounding overtones I've heard from a small bodied guitar, and I used to own the Martin 000-28EC and the Martin OMJM(John Mayer). It's that good, no bs. Very projective, great amount of bass for the small body. Excellent as a medium strummer and fingerpicking. I've seriously thinking about buying another one for backup of just to have if they ever stop making them...
Ease of Use:
I've used a v neck guitar, so I knew what to expect. This one is so smooth. I haven't measured the nut width yet. Although the specs say 1.75, I feel like it's a gradual widening as you move up the fretboard. The first 4 frets feel like the typical 1 11/16ths to me anyway, have to confirm later.
Support:
Haven't needed to use it yet
Overall:
Unless I write a hit song with this guitar it doesn't get a 10, but for the price it's a no brainer. It's crazy that I could buy almost 4 of these for the price I sold my Martin 000-28EC for...
