"You'll be very pleased with this Quality Guitar"
Feature:These humbuckers are a step up from just the epi lp standards, and the grover tuners are a great addition to this guitar. All the standard Les Paul are there- tune-o-matic bridge, tone and volume control for each humbucker. All around pretty decent features.
Quality:
I've owned this guitar for about 6 months now, and It looks great plays great, no problems. The only noticeable difference is that the gold finish on the hardware (mainly the tune-o-matic) seems to rub off eventually, but I think it looks even better that way.
Value:
It's definitely worth the asking price of $500, I'm thouroughly happy and don't feel like I payed too much. It's an awesome choice for a guitar in this price range.
Desirability:
It looks absolutely gorgeous, the quilted sunburst is absolutely incredible-I could see someone paying $150-$200 just for the finish. It's definitely an LP, and the Gold Hardware looks great too.
Sound:
The included humbuckers aren't just incredible, but overall very decent for this guitar. I'm considering maybe putting some EMG's on mine, but for now I like the sound just fine. Most of the tone comes from the chambered body- I play everything from soft, ambient to hardcore and with the right settings, it sounds fine playing anything. I play through a Marshall, and with tweaking it sounds great.
Ease of Use:
The fact that this guitar is chambered makes it incredibly light compared to other guitars (it's lighter than my strat too) But it is slightly top heavy. Also, the nut width is somewhat smaller than normal, making moving up and down the neck incredibly simple. I feel like this guitar was made for me- that's how natural it feels in my hands.
Support:
I'll give epiphone the benefit of the doubt on this one, it comes with a limited warranty and according to it, it said that they'd take it back if something was wrong. I honestly haven't had to deal with it though.
Overall:
All in all, I absolutely love this guitar. It's definitely worth the $500. Just be sure to take care of it, and you'll never have any problems. If you're trying to decide between this and another guitar in this price range, go ahead and go for it...I'm glad I did.

"Nice Guitar on the Cheap"
Feature:No accessories included, though the dealer did kick in some bling to offset the price by about 10%. I do very much like the ease of adjustment on EVERYTHING. The screws are nice and big and obvious for adjustment. I'm sure that I will freakin' wreck this thing by playing with adjustments too much. One of the 4 knobs is a bit off kilter, but I attribute this to the dealer not being so nice to it. I also wish that the pick guard was clear. The ivory hides the oh-so-nice finish. I suspect that I will just toss the pick guard.
Quality:
I'm unsure about the tuning keys. After just a few days, I think I want to already replace them with something more tight/controllable. I have had NO problems with staying in tune at all. Which is opposite to other guitars I have purchased. The pick guard seems iffy. The plastic pieces holding on the pick-ups seem iffy. At this time, I can see me waiting 4 or 5 years to consider replacing the pick-ups and pick-up supports. But, it has to be said that in terms of quality there are 2 outstanding qualities: 1) It sounds so sweet. The hollow inards allow me to play unplugged and sound very nice. 2) It is frickin' beautiful.
Value:
I think I just hit the lottery with this thing.
Desirability:
Um. It rocks. Chicks/guys/opposite sex/same sex will dig it. Everyone who I played it to has gotten this wide-eyed-look on their face after one chord. Another reason why this guitar intimidates me. I need time to adjust to it. Maybe too much "more power".
Sound:
I'm a bit intimidated by the sound. I already had 3 guitars and a bass, but this is in a whole different class. I have played my friends' "high end" guitars before, and, given the price, I did not at all consider this guitar to be high end, but on par with at least 2 of my other guitars. I played it for quite a while over several sessions in 2 shops before I purchased. But after getting used to it and learning it, this Ultra is just spooky for the sound you get for the cash. For me, a 10 on sound would be a 660 Rick or a 330.
Ease of Use:
I only purchased this for ease-of-use, as compared to purchasing a semi-hollow/semi-acoustic of another brand. I have small hands and the neck was oh-so-accomodating for a Gibson knock-off (or even the real thing). So easy to move up and down the neck that it is just silly. This is my second "silk" neck and I love it. The ivory inset along the neck is just gravy. Still getting used to the placement of controls, but that will come with time. Seems very touchy about settings, but I see the potential. Also, compared to my Fender rip-off, it is top heavy, meaning that when I relax, then the neck goes south and the body cramps my style...
Support:
Unknown. I'm the type that may need it, but the warranty and store guarantee seem quite adequate and above what I am used to.
Overall:
I am planning on mastering this thing over a few years before I move up to a high-end Rick.

"Back In... Faded Cherry Sunburst"
Feature:two Alcino humbuckers, seperate tone and volume for each, very fast neck (not a bolt-on), gold hardware, mother-of-pearl inlays, beautiful color. The guitar even came with a cord and torx wrench. There isn't much more you could ask for.
Quality:
Thus far, everything works perfectly and sounds clear. There are no clicks when swithcing the tone selector, and very minimal buzz. I don't mean to bash the gold hardware (I really love it), but it is always a concern that I may scratch or dent it accidentally. Otherwise a wonderful instrument.
Value:
The guitar AND the case (processed seperately) cost around $550. That is an awesome price for a Les Paul, even if the case wasn't included.
Desirability:
A '67 Goldtop is ideal, but hey, it's still a Les Paul.
Sound:
This guitar has a warm, classic sound. The quality is very good, although there is a (rare) buzz due to heavy strumming when playing chords in the middle of the neck. no biggie, though. Depending on how you manipulate the tone and volume, you can go from smooth jazz to hard rock.
Support:
There is a (very) limited lifetime warranty that basically states: "If anything happens between when we put it in the truck and you staring at it for too long, you're SOL." You also only have 15 days after you PURCHASED the guitar to send in the warranty request, which is included in the box. in other words, overlook the guitar, fill out the form, and make for the mailbox.
Overall:
I am a better guitarist with this instrument, and it'll have to be utterly useless before I buy another (of equal or lesser price).
