    "buy one, or two!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
The most useful thing about this amp is the contradiction. plug in turn on turn up. vs. easy to modify. My modified head has two more volume controls, two gain switches, an efx loop, a standby, and a negative feedback switch. Not to mention all the parts I swapped out. Not for everybody, but it takes the amp from this great out of the box player, to truly boutique sounds. The best thing about it is it will go wherever you want to go with it. stock or modded.

    Quality:
I have had my modified head apart at least fifteen times. No problems. The cabinet is just great. The look and constrution are all very satisfactory. Use it anywhere.

    Value:
I can't see anyone competing. The amp stock is priced great. The amp modified gives even better bang for the buck.

    Desirability:
You can reverse the front and back panels for two great looks. Stock it's very classy. Reversed, it's meaner looking.

    Sound:
The V3 head is the latest and the best. Better Output Transformer, better caps, better resistor values and more. You'd better like el84 breakup, because that's it's sound. Single coils to my ear rock this amp right out of the box, and judging by my own efforts, also have an advantage with the modified heads. They love pedals in any version, new or old. They like added brightness especially. Humbucks tend to not be the best the amp can work with, but they aren't bad. Just not as good as the single coil sounds. Home practice or any sort of recording would be very good with this amp. Great high gain sounds, especially with a few modifications, particularly. Tube choice can be critical. buy good ones! and consider a lower output preamp tube. *better for clean sounds and different breakup when pushed*

    Ease of Use:
plug in turn on turn up. how hard can it be? put a treble boost pedal in front. yeeeha.

    Support:
All my experiences with Epiphone have been great.

    Overall:
I'm going to buy at least two more.
