"Fantastic Guitar"
Sound:
That guitar sounds very good. Comes with two Gibson Humbuckers and coupled with a Digitech RP50, that guitar just screams. Very happy with the sound
Feature:
I was looking for a guitar that did not come with a whammy bar because I simply just don't use them. So this guitar for me comes will all the features I needed, 2 humbuckers and a 3 way toggle switch that gives you rythm, treble and something in between.
Quality:
I paid 359$ cdn and I see it on amercian sites at 350$ US, so I really did get a very good deal on that baby and it's worth every penny. I would have most likely paid the 500$ cdn price tag for it but was happy to get it that cheap. The neck is ultra fast, the frets are perfect, so far the tuners respond well, can't see anything wrong with this guitar quality wise.
Manufacturer Support:
I have not dealt with support yet and hope that I never will have to, so I can't really say anything about it. I gave it a ten because I presume that such a prestigious company as Gibson would threat their customers with respect.
Value:
Great bang for the buck, worth every single penny I paid for it.
The Wow Factor:
About a month ago I want to the guitar shop shopping for a G-400 Gothic with the satin finish and did not see that the G-400 on display. I tried the Goth and frankly did not like it that much. It played as good, it's just the finish that I find odd on the G-400 Goth. Then, this weekend I went back to the shop looking to buy an Ibanez RG321 or an RG370 and when I saw the Cherry red G-400, I had to try it. I fell in love with the guitar and did not even try the Ibanez guitars. I walked out with my G-400 and am very happy that I did
Overall:
I expect this guitar to last me years and years. I love the way it plays, the sound the neck and everything I recommend it to anyone whos looking to buy a new guitar and that doesn't want to pay a fortune for one. It's fairly cheap in price but plays for at least double it's price. I have owned a Fernandez Revolver 55 (629$), a Gibson Explorer (875$), a Fender Squier american made (800$), a Ibanez EX series (350)$ and a Epiphone Les Paul (450$) and I must say that this SG-400 is my second best after my Fernandez Revolver. It plays better than all my previous guitars except for that Revolver and for a lot less money than most of the other guitars I owned.
