"Jazzmaster " The Magic Harp of Alternative Rock!!""
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
The sound of the Jazzmaster is exactly the way it sounds in web-site demonstrations. The quality is beyond excellent! The sound is extremely responsive to my playing, it's merely a matter of me living up to the quality of it.
Yes, the jazzmaster more than achieves the sound that I am looking for. The best way I can describe the Fender Jazzmaster is to liken it to a cross between a piano and a violin! I'm also using a Fender 212R amplifier with my Jazzzmaster, the 212R is such a powerful amp that in my smaller quarters I have to keep the volume down around one. I can't imagine the seismic tremor that I would get out of it at TEN!!
I love the tremolo system and the tuneomatic bridge. The tuneomatic bridge has allowed me to raise the action of the guitar and achieve that clear and ringing tone, like great guitar players such as J Mascis utilize.
Ease of Use:
For me it was a little easier when I increased the action of the Jazzmaster, this reduces some of the natural buzz which occurs with all guitar strings, although you have to work your fingers a little more, but not much, anyway it's good for me. I am still learning to play guitar ,but as I master each exercise it is very easy to modify the sound to my personal taste ,which isn't hard because the whole Jazzmaster sound is my personal taste!
The Classic Jazzmaster is extremely well made!! I have found the Jazzmaster to be very dependable so far, I don't feel any trepidation when I pick it up. I'd have to say that if something went wrong with this guitar, it will probably be a freak accident! The sunburst finish is beautiful, it is artistically and professionally crafted to high standards, a great guitar ,at a great price!
Yes, I think that it is well worth the price compared to other guitars. The quality of this guitar versus guitars of higher cost can't compare. It is a great value!
The Wow Factor:
The Jazzmaster is the awesome-sound of so many indie-rock, alternative, and punk bands, it's a dream to finally have one and start making my own great music with it.
I hope to be satisfied with this product for many years to come. I think when I search for another guitar it will be after I have mastered the ability to make this one sing. The Jazzmaster just happened to be the sound which I was looking for, and I looked at and listened to a few guitars. If I lost this guitar, I would definitly replace it with another Jazzmaster. I Think that I may wish to buy a Fender Telecaster down the road. I love the sound of the Jazzmaster the most, and so far there is nothing I like least about!!!
